Here's a list of different styles http://slice.seriouseats.com/archives/2008/01/a-list-of-regional-pizza-styles.html I'll add a poll for the 3 main ones.
I like the ones with cheesy crusts or no crust at all. Dip the crusts in chocolate... enjoy epic win.
Deep dish, extra sauce, extra cheese, baked so that there are some burnt spots on the cheese. Tough to get though. I tend to do better even with what i bake in a pan than what I can get from most places here. This after years of progressing through the phases- any pepperoni as a kid, then during mall years those single slices at the popular food court chain, bbq chicken with cilantro favorite b/c of a particular buffet's offering, hawaiian phase somehow stuck for a year, then burnt onion/bellpeppers with one meat, now back to basics, deep dish with cheese only. THis has been my longest but not sure if final preference phase.
Oh yeah went through that no sauce, slices of tomatoes instead, & fresh cheese phase for a while too.
Chef tomato sauce perfumed w/herbs, mozarella, merguez, fried eggs. could not find an image of the aforementioned Chef Pizza...here's an image of another of theirs that has egg as a topping:
nice find. I bookmarked that link, didn't know of that many styles. the st. louis one looks interesting.
I love the deep dish like at Star Pizza, but I've been told that it's not at all like Chicago style pizza.
I love any pizza. I do prefer deep dish over your standard NY style. However, a good Neapolitan beats the others hands down. It was done right from the beginning.
ok not a style of pizza, but if you are in Clear Lake we finally got a good pizza place, Dan's Pizza. It's most excellent, would recommend. http://www.danspizzaco.com/
