Mine would have to be the one where the Simpson kids go to live with a foster family-The Flanders!

    "I love you Pa!"

    "I love you Cletus!"

"You all passed the mandatory drug test. Except for you Marge, you tested positive for crack and PCP."

"The only thing I'm high on his love for my son and daughters. Yes, a little LSD is all I need."

    I love it.

$impsons (The Casino) was my favorite . Where Bart makes a casino out of his tree house . Mr. Burns turns into Howard Hughes . Marge cant stop gambling . That one is the best

The Halloween episode, where Homer screws up his toaster and turns it into a time machine.

The part where he gets sent back to the Mesozoic era (or whichever) for about the ninth time and loses his temper-- priceless.

Tied with that would be the Halloween episode "Citizen Kang", where the two aliens take over Clinton and Dole's bodies.

I am Clin-TON. All will tremble before me!

    Or...

KENT BROCKMAN: Senator Dole offered some rather cryptic remarks today at a press conference.

DOLE: It matters not which of us you vote for. Either way your planet is doomed, DOOMED!

    Oooh... Good call.

Almost forgot about those Halloween episodes. When the Krusty doll comes to life and tries to kill Homer by pulling his tongue out. The Halloween episode when all the advertisement characters come to life is great as well.

How about when Homer got the helper monkey, Mojo?

It's too hard to pick just one favorite episode!

I love the chili cook-off episode. That whole episode was hilarious.

I especially love Homer's Jim Morrison-esque trip after eating the insanity peppers.

    Classic!

I'll have to second all the Halloween specials (except the last couple years: in the last couple of seasons, all Simpsons have more or less sucked (Oh! I'm in trouble now!) -- what did they do, fire a key writer? -- though I still love all the episodes from the Golden Age), the softball ringers episode, and the insanity-pepper episode (easily the only good one after they fired that writer). However, the absolute pinnacle of the Simpsons was the lemon-tree episode. Perhaps not the most hilarious, but it had the best crafted story and a wonderful feel for atmosphere.

I also love when Homer buys the transporter pods and puts one next to the couch and the other next to the toilet.

Another fav is when Bart sneaks into the blind man's house to get his dog back. Then the blind man gets busted for having weed. Chief Wiggums tells Bart to go home and he calls all of the police force to come to the house. Then "Jammin" by Bob Marley starts playing and all of the cops show up with dates!

All Simpsons are subpar upon first viewing. You don't appreciate the episode fully until the third or fourth viewing, IMO.

Like this year, the one where the Simpsons housesit for Burns, and they take his yacht into international waters to have a party.

"See that boat there son, it broadcasts major league baseball games with implied oral consent, not expressed written consent."

    Hilarious.

Ok...Firstly the Simpsons is the single greatest Sit-com ever. I agree with the last 2 years though. Whats been up? Which will harken me back to: "What has happened to Futurama?" That show was awesome.

    But as for favs..

How about the one where Homer wants to be an at home disabled worker. So he gains weight to reach (what was it now) 350 lbs? And then there was the Nuclear plant about to explode so he tries to call it in.

"Im sorry but your fingers are to fat to dial the number"

    How about

"Seeeeee My Vest, seee my vest. Made from real Gorilla chest."

"Hey you better not be ruining my ass grove"

and no Juan the Lemon tree was hilarious...When Bart was surronded by the mob of lemon tree stealers. And he tried to blast off using cans of spray paint.

    How about "the Leader" episode.

"Nah nah nah nah nah nah Leader, Leader"

    My top 2 are:

The Vegetarian Episode (for obvious reasons). Best line from that one:

When Lisa tells Homer that Paul and Linda McCartney helped her to understand that she must be tolerant of non-vegetarians, Homer responds:

"Rock stars. Is there anything they don't know?"

#2 has to be the Burlesque House

    Best line:

The Madam (to Homer): Are you wearing a grocery bag?
Homer: I have misplaced my pants.

Man, there are so many great episodes, it is almost impossible to choose! My wife and I quote those shows all day long!!!

    Brian -

"Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos."

    Keely:

"Mojo, what have they done to you."

    Mojo (types): Pray for Mojo.

I think you have to see a particular "Simpson's" episode several times before you reaaly get it, because you miss so much stuff the first time around. Of course, even a subpar "Simpson's" episode is better than most stuff out there.

Personally I like the Beer Baron episode and the Lemon Tree one, from which my favorite line is when the Shelbyville tow-truck guy says : "Get out here boy, there's doin's a transpirin'"

When Sideshow Bob thwarts his brother's plan to blow up a dam was a great Simpsons... but my favorite one was "The Day The Violence Died", when Bart finds the real creator of Itchy and Scratchy.

Come to think of it, anything with Itchy and Scratchy ranks way up there. Homer as Poochie was hilarious!
