I know people from the board and generally on the net tend to like old rap and very lyrical artist. I don't know it seems some people think they're cool because they like underground rappers that the majority don't listen. Also, people like that tend to forget that rap is music and not just the lyrics matters. To me, the flow and the beat matter more than the lyrics (personally) that's why I don't enjoy listening to NAS or KRS-ONE or Talib Kweli and other ''real'' rappers. Some forget that the game is changing and it's time to move on from the 90's style of rap.

I enjoy listening to songs with great metaphores and punchlines. I mean sick punchlines you know not something too deep. Lil' Wayne is the best exemple, I know the man is hated to death but he is simply a beat in matter of flow and metaphores.

My favorite rapper is Gucci Mane 'cause he hood and all that and you know his beats are sick as his flow. His lyrics are ''garbage'' if you enjoy deep songs like 2pac but if not, his lyrics are alright too. He is just simply the best at doing hooks. His tracks are just nasty when rollin' through the hood. Here's some of my fav' songs from him.

LOL @ Gucci Mane. That r****d can't even stay on beat. For every 100 songs he does there might I stress the word might be 1 decent song. And it's usually cause it's a collabo featuring someone who makes the song tight.
