It's a tough choice, there's a lot of guys I like a lot (Scola, Martin, Lowry, Hayes, Patterson) At the end of the day, though, I personally really value two-way players, and Lowry is among the few we have, so it's Kyle for me.
I voted for Luis Scola. I play basketball pretty frequently, and I admire Scola because of his sound offensive fundamentals. As a person who plays below the rim, I like to emulate some of his moves. Very closely behind would have to be Chuck Hayes. I admire Chuck because he is so defensively sound. When I play basketball, I always try to emulate Chuck's defensive play. He's really active with his hands, and has a knack for always being in the right place at the right time.
Hayes, Lowry, Patterson, Lee are the only players I like on this current team, then there are a few that are ok and then there's a bunch I'd rather see gone. It's not easy for a fan of great defense to follow this team
Yao is my favorite player. He got me into the Rockets and basketball in general. Also fond of Budinger.
Courtney Lee -- he has serious bounce, can hit the 3-ball, and plays solid on-ball defense. 2Pat's not far behind...
Wow, dude. Thats exactly my thoughts as well. I like the scrapper, knife-fighter, junk yard dog type dudes. Lowry and Hayes are just vicious in competative spirit and will outhustle anyone in their way. They will never back down or give their opponent room to breathe. I dont mind the freakish atheltes and aweomse ball handlers but guys like Hayes and Lowry are something else. Bobby Sura was one of my favorites as well. Awesome player.
Sca...Sca...Sca...Sca.....Scola!! LOL. Yet to miss a game as a Rocket, hardworking, crafty, skillful player. Chuck/Shane pretty close behind him though. Most of the players in this team is really easy to root for, KMart, AB, Lowry, Bud, 2Pat, Hill, etc
absolutely. honestly, my stomach dropped when i read this. because i realized....i really don't have a favorite player on my favorite basketball team that i've been rooting for since i was about 8 years old.
Out of this group of guys, Scola. Battier finishes in a close second. How can you not like the "hustle guys" on the team? Shane is a true leader, and I will hate to lose him if he's traded soon. He holds this team together when the losses keep coming.
