What are your favorite hobbies? Probably for most people it is playing sports or keeping up with certain teams (like the Rockets), but do you have others. Music is a big hobby of mine (if that wasn't obvious) as well as exercising. There is something about lifting and running that helps relieve such stress. Taking care of a pet is another big hobby of mine - I can't imagine what my life would be like without my dog, Jake. And then there is the computer game - OOTP simulation baseball. I have never played anything so addictive and so fun at the same time. We have a league that is comprised of mainly posters from this BBS and we are always looking for new people (as well as those who have participated in the past). Just email me through the board or moestavern19 if you are interested for more details or you can go here: http://clutchleagues.com/OOTP4/index.htm http://pub27.ezboard.com/bclutchleagues
I like pr0n first and foremost. But OOTP is pretty fun as well, these queers finally made me join after I laughed at them for years, and I've been hooked on it ever since. But fatman is obviously a douche and he ruins everything.
My favorite hobby is playing OOTP. I think YOU should join now. Lots of teams are available, so if you want to manage your own baseball team like GMs in real life do, this is a really fun game to play.
Hobbies.. finding rare cigars, doing yard work, detailing cars, riding the dirtbike and reading this BBS.. Edit- I forgot about playing videogames..
hobbies... tennis, table tennis, gardening, horticulture, orchids, new music, comedy, documentary movies, haute couture, my dog
Comics, drawing, reading, being a hermit. I wish I could find the time and energy to take up weightlifting again, but so goes life.
Music... but it almost seems disparaging to qualify it as a "hobby". It means more than that. For me, that means playing music (mostly classical type stuff) and learning more about it. Some of my "hobbies" (things I may not be good at but try to mess with anyway) within that category are singing and trying to learn guitar. Otherwise, I don't have any single things I work on... just try to work out, hang out in fun places, and talk to my friends and act silly. I would rather do that in my spare time. Or, you could count hobbies like: men watching sports (you won't like my favorite, though - figure skating) hanging out on a bbs
Games (Chess, cards, computer), watch rockets play, some tv shows (sci fi, home and garden, tlc, discovery, new), two cats, used to play a lot of bball too.
I would say playing sport, but anyone who knows me, knows I don't play it as a hobby, I play it competitvely and to win - so I don't think you can really call it a hobby. Like Manny I like to try and get to the gym about 2-3 times a week (at least), plus also play indoor soccer, basketball and cricket to help keep fit. (I know I didn't consider sports a hobby, but... meh). Apart from that I like to kick back and watch some DVDs, and once I get my garage set up I will get back into building model cars/planes. First and foremost though I love spending time with my daughter (can't beleive she's already 10 months old!) and also with the rest of the family as well. My wife would have everyeon believe that my computer is my lifeline, and while I won't go that far I do spend some time playing games, surfing the net etc.
Working out Jogging Website building Buying DVDs Buying/collecting toys Buying/"collecting" shoes Watching anime Music listener Reading occasionally
Houston Rockets Basketball No Limit Texas Hold 'Em - no longer just a hobby but an addiction Weightlifting... running somewhat, but I've gotten bad about it lately Video games a little bit - don't really play that much anymore... Halo 2 would be the game I play when I do Playing with my Golden Retriever TV shows - The O.C., Nip/Tuck, Alias, 24, Lost, Desperate Housewives, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Chappelle's Show Music - Rap & Hard Rock mostly Houston Texans Football Clutch BBS Watching movies - Billy Madison & Happy Gilmore are my favorites Drinking I've always wanted to play guitar and/or drums - I need to take that up sometime.
Watching sports Running Researching bulls!*t as my wife and friends like to say Just starting to play trumpet again Computer games (CS, Source, HL2, BF2) Playing with my beagles Remodeling our new house
Finding Isabel's sig in the Carmina Burana. Ballroom dancing. Latin dancing. Gay disco (even though I'm not gay - it's just ...better.) House music (see above) Latin and greek poetry, esp . Ovid, Cattulus, Sappho. NLP DJ technique and culture. Contemporary China and culture Youth cuture - 22-28 yr old - very strange to me. Very different. Learning a lot.
I think mine is FRODO, although Samwise Gamjee is also a cool hobbit. but then I saw a picture showing them both in their birthday suit in the SHIRE surrounded by flowers... so they're no longer my favorite hobbits... and I no longer wanted to like ANY hobbit at all. I knew those two were WEIRD like that. WTF is Latin Dancing? Are you dancing to Carmina Burana and saying Latin phrases??
Haha very funny. Dude, if you watched them, you just might find that you'll like them. Besides, the only show out of those that could be considered "girly" is Housewives. The name really makes it seem worse than it is. I'm sure the guys on this board who have seen it will tell you it's funny and a good show. Don't diss The O.C., man.
Everything for me starts with playing and watching sports. Anything that involves the Rockets, 'Stros, Texans or Longhorns... I'm up for it. Feeds that competitive fire that I bring to everything. And now that it's summer, that means playing baseball 2 or 3 times a week with friends back in town for the summer... nothing like a good 9 on 9 game late in the afternoon. (actually, if anyone knows of a place to play, we really should get a BBS softball game going sometime.) Other than that... - Poker. I'm with you, R#1... it's an addiction now. Games 4-5 nights a week, usually $10 buy-ins... it's an expensive hobby for a college student, but it's fun and I've gotten to where I usually make money every week. - TV. 24, 24, 24... oh, and Seinfeld, Friends, and 70's Show too. But it's all about 24. - Video games. MVP Baseball 2005 takes up way too much of my spare time. - Music. I won't go into too much detail because most people here are into rock and I'm more into country and pop music, but I spend a lot of time downloading and listening... it's a big part of what I do. - Writing. It's been my life and will be my career... and sort of already is, given that I'm editor of my university paper. But, I try and find places online to do more work to critique myself for improvement. It still is a lot of fun when it's about the right subject. - Clutch BBS - Friends, partying, drinking... I'll put them all together. - Playing with my four cats. - And it's not really a hobby of mine, but I have to spend a lot of time shopping... there are unfortunately things you have to do for certain women. And finally, I'll add the shameless plug for OOTP. It's a great way to have fun and just kick back with some of your favorite BBSers while playing an excellent baseball simulation that really tests your IQ. Those of us in the "clique" sometimes have our arguments and moments of sarcasm, but it really is a fun group that becomes addictive. If you're at all a fan of baseball, it really is an outstanding game that lets you compete for fun and enhances your baseball IQ. We'd love to see a few more of you guys checking it out.
