I have to participate in a dessert contest this friday.. i have no idea what to make and was wondering if anyone could offer some suggestions. thanks
1) Tres Leches 2) Anything with chocolate and peanut butter 3) Dirt (there may be another name for it - it's like chocolate/vanilla pudding with oreos throughout and whip cream on top - sometimes made with heath bar sprinkles)
Buy some unsweetened chocolate in the yellow package and make the brownies described on the package, very simple, very good, and you get to say "I made it from scratch". Bake some bread with cranberries or other dried fruit, just in time for the get together, fresh bread rocks.

"the wall of chocolate" at P.F. Chang's - I've shared it with 2 other adults and we still couldn't finish it! It's a 7 layer chocolate cake with chocolate icing and chocolate chips on top of it served with raspberry sauce! oooooh now I'm hungry.
I don't really have a favorite, I like them all. I haven't tried it but I heard that Pumpkin cheese cake is really good. I think I'm going to try and find the recipe for the weekend now. I have had some sort of grilled fruit pizza once that was really good with cream cheese, all sorts of grilled fruit and (caramel and maybe ice cream too?). That was a long time ago.....Now I want to find the recipe for that. Ahhh...decisions
