I love me some biscuits with sausage gravy. I rarely eat it though. Also can't beat a good omelette or some breakfast tacos.

Beignets are the same as funnel cake.

My vote would have to be for biscuits and gravy with all of the above a close second.

    COFFEE!!!

when i actually eat breakfast it is usually eggos and some fruit or some breakfast tacos (bacon/egg, potato/egg). a hearty weekend breakfast might be some migas or carne guisada.

im going to germany in a couple months and ive heard their breakfasts are cold-cuts, chese and bread. they dont do bacon and eggs over there.

I'm up in Austin so someone else will have to make some suggestions for the Houstonians.

In other news, those of you wishing to leave flowers for Fatty's triple bypass can leave them at the Baylor Medical Center.

For a more unusual choice, I also like macaroni and cheese for breakfast... the kind you bake in a casserole dish with eggs in it. That makes a good breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack. The perfect food. Just take however much you want at the time.

I like breakfast so I have too much to choose from so I'll list a few of my favorites.

On a cold morning nothing is better than some rice porridge also known as "Zo" or "Congee" with preserved duck egg. I posted a recipe on Meowgi's Clutch Fans Recipe Book
    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=101712&highlight=recipes

Sweet Soybean Milk and Chinese long donuts, these are sort of like long Beignets but unsweetened.

Roti Prata with mutton curry. Pan grilled Indian flat bread.

    Strawberry Crepes with creme fraiche.

    Bagels and lox.

Hashbrowns, the kind that are thin and crisp not very thick.

    Grits and sausage gravy.

I also like a good donut or some pastry in the morning. When I was working as a grill cook in college the head chef at the restauraunt I was working at would make from scratch sourdough lemon donuts. He once gave me one fresh out of the fryer and dusting with sugar and it was about the best thing I had ever eaten.

Almost every morning I go to Chick Fila for a number #3. Chicken burrito with large sweet tea. After reading this thread, I'll prob start to learn how to make my own breakfast and save some $$$$.

It's not even funny how much better breakfast is than lunch, dinner, junkfood, snacks, or whatever. I wish I could eat breakfast more, but most the time I'm gonna be sleeping too late to get the chance to.

    My perfect breakfast would be:
    - some scrambled eggs
    - few pieces of bacon
    - little bit of hash browns
    - 2 biscuits
    - a bowl of gravy
    - a glass of milk
    - a glass of apple juice

Biscuits and gravy are amazing, then the regular continetal breakfast is awesome, too.

"Waiter, these two people would like a plate of your finest POOP with hash browns and POOP with bacon, respectively, please."
Be careful what you wish for, gentlemen. ;)
