Don't Goalies have to do the same drills as the other Soccer players? So they essentially have the same foot speed and skills of his other teammates. That was a great video. Guy wasn't even in the frame and still beat Rooney to mid field. There had to be a little bit of adrenaline in that run. That was an "Oh s*** my contract is in jeopardy!" Run.

No. Rooney (in red) saw the empty net, so he tried to lob it in from a little past midfield. Would have made it in too, if the goalie had been a step slower. The guy in blue might have had a chance to save it too, but it would have taken a spectacular play, since it looked like he had a lot of momentum going towards the net.
