So i was watching the highlights from www.nba.com and it showed the play at the end of the third quarter.

Luther Head passes to Rafer Alston
Rafer Alston passes to Luther Head
Luther Head passes to Rafer Alston
    Fisher steal
    Gordon Girichek for three
    End of Period.

exactly how horrible was that? its something you learn in middle school, hell even high school!

i was disgusted at both Luther and Rafer.

Right after that play, I hit 'stop recording and erase' on my DVR. I almost always think they can come back even when it looks bleak because I think T-Mac will put us on his shoulders but, let's face it, did he even play in the last two games?

I love T-Mac but his effort last night was pathetic. That play at the end of the half where he walked it up with 5 seconds left made me want to throw my remote across the room.

I guess having a chance to close out a series and advance isn't enough to make our guys give max effort in the last two games. I just wonder what is.

    Exactly.

And what i am really mad about is what he said after the game.
"They are playing harder than us."
"They did this (beat us twice) in a fasion i expected them to do"
"I am not suprised it's 2-2. I am suprise about the outcome."
"Looking at the film, i was reviewing, going over things, and raelly, nothing really changed"
"I am not embarassed, i am more disappointed, i know we can give a better effort than that."
"I gotta inspire my teammates, thats what i gotta do."
"Getting up into them on the ball court, i gotta find a way to inspire them."
"A little frustrated on a call."
"chuckles.." (meaning he was kinda laughing)
"Fisher, Girichek, Ak47 was guarding me."

I guess Van Gundy was right all season when he would gripe at them about not giving max effort. Geez guys, it's the freakin' playoffs, how in the world can you not be giving max effort?

If you've watched all the regular season like I have, you wouldn't be surprised. Luther has done this at least three times in the season, the exact same kind of thing. With Rafer. I complained about it too, saying Head has NO bball IQ. It's truel

that was a 5 point turnaround, we could've been 16 down but instead 21 down going into the 4th

Hell yes he traveled, and I was screaming it at the TV, my wife told me to simmer down (Hard to do when the team was playing so lackadaisical).

Yeah i know he's been doing that.

Someone needs to reteach him the game of basketball. It's not just shooting threes.

Yeah, it sure looked like he did. But you just KNEW that shot was going in after that crap those two pulled. That was the second worst play of the series so far..the worst obviously being Derek Fisher blowing the wide-open layup.

I blame Rafer for that play more than Luther. Luther gets the ball, and correctly gives up to Rafer (THE POINT GUARD) nice and early. Rafer then gave it back too soon without making Fisher commit. So Fisher is still in the path of Luther, who tries to pass it back. You can blame Luther for not just forcing Fisher to foul, but it was obvious that neither of em had any confidence in making a layup.

Now that people has mentioned it, I think two of the most defining plays for the Rox this evening was the botched 2-on-1 fast break and also the missed wide open layup by Head.

It's plays like that which makes you just wanna grab your hair and say "what the hell just happened!!?? I can't believe I'm seeing this..."

I knew it was going to be a long night...
