    I must say that I am utterly disgusted at the thought that someone would actually BOO Dream. I for one will give him a long standing ovation for all of the wonderful memories he gave us. Sure Dream has been questionable lately, but he has earned every right to want whatever he wants in my book. It would have been nice to see him retire as a Rocket, but lets face it, he doesn't fit with this team anymore and he knows it. I look forward to seeing him in Toronto. I think it will be exciting to see him play with Vinsanity. It will give me a team to pull for in the East....

    So to all of you LOSERS who plan on booing Hakeem, just remember who is responsible for those banners. I for one cannot wait for them to hoist that No. 34 in the new Arena!

    Now lets get Marc Jackson, wish Dream well and enjoy the new kids!

    The entire Rocket organization is responsible for those banners, not one man.

    Hakeem has decided that the Rockets are secondary to his ego and bankbook, even though he promised to do whatever necessary to help the Rocket's organization.

    I won't boo Hakeem either, but to pretend that he did not turn his back on the Rockets is silly. The man tanked last year, and was willing to split up the current Rocket nucleus to get his way. Good riddence!

    Without Dream, there would be no banner. Period. End of story. He carried the team. Especially in the 95 playoffs. Do you think the Rockets would have gotten by the Spurs that year without that legendary performance. Hakeem did not tank last year. That is ludicrous. He just 38 year old legs and I honestly think he has little left . What is wrong with a superstar player wanting $$$? It is the way it is in sports. I do not blame him. He doesn't owe the Rockets anything. So quit acting like jilted lovers and wish the Dream well.

    relevant quote from Shakespeare:

    "To sleep: perchance to Dream: ay, there's the rub;
    For in that sleep of death what Dreams may come
    When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
    Must give us pause"

    I adore Hakeem and always will. That said, it will sicken me to see him in another uniform . He is a Houston icon. F*ck Fegan....Fu*k the Raptors....how can them signing him to that much money be a good move. Lock him up to big money till he's 41 or 42. What are Hakeem's demands????I see the rockets increasing offers almost daily...so ho much is enough.

    just think... no more concerns about a franchise's direction and future having to pass through a single player. Rocks fans have both given and received much good over the years in their relationship with Dream; Dream has become a fabulously wealthy man and a revered one in the community because of the fans' support. Should anyone be ashamed? Should anyone have regrets? I don't think so. I think the organization knew that, as soon as Dream hired Dan Fegan, that it was pretty much over from their standpoint. Upward and onward- the team belongs to the track stars now. That's evolution for you.

    Would the Rockets have gotten a chance to get by the Spurs if Elie doesn't hit a 3 in the corner against Phoenix!? It's a team game. Dream was obviously the man, but he wasn't a one man show.

    Hakeem was a superstar. Based on his performance and durability during the past couple seasons, asking for a big contract was the wrong thing to do.
