hey guys i have to pick 10 stocks to follow for the next 10 weeks for school...any investment bankers/advisors got any ideas, performance doesnt matter really just going to be used to see how it does against the major indicies....thanks
I remember I had to do this for an Economics class in high school. The teacher suggested that we picked corporations that we actually use the products of, because as teenagers that's just about as good a way to pick a stock as any kind of research we could do. I picked Pepsico. It didn't do that great during my 2 months of tracking it, but the week after the game ended, their stock split.
QQQ, PVX (good dividend yield), IACI, ORBZ, TZOO, TASR..those are your momentum plays now for big caps, BBY, GME, MSFT, BEBE for women's clothing. VITX (speculative pharm).

I'm the head stock trader at an investment management firm. Email me through the board. I think I can help you out.
i would give you a nice list but i can't since i'm licensed, so all i have to say is pick up an investors business daily from barnes and noble or borders books or a place like that. you will find a wealth of knowledge and stocks to follow in there. easy to read and to the point.
