Well, my handle identifies me as a Red Sox fan which I have been since '85. Last season was really a tough one to take. It was bad enough to get that close to the world series but to lose to the f*cking Yankees of all teams made it a definite bitter pill to swallow. Then of course you have the Rockets. Fortunately, they have won 2 titles since I started pulling for them (which started in the '84-'85 season). But this not making the playoffs for the last couple of seasons has been excrutiatingly painful. The Broncos are my favorite NFL team and they used to rank right up there with the Red Sox as my perennial disappointment. But winning back-to-back Super Bowls in the late '90s changed that. But they haven't done much since Elway has retired. About the only team I have been rooting for that has been very successful recently has been the Miami Hurricanes football program.
