I think Denver has basically solidified the 2nd spot and we are only 2 games in front of 7th place. I would rather play the Nuggets than any of the other possibilities. Would you rather play the Blazers or the Nuggets? I think my choice is the Nuggets.

They're not going to tank any games, they wont fall to 7th unless they have a complete collapse, it's not likely. Denver is a weird team, they can hang with anyone some days and then lose it another, blazers are similar, but we probably match up better with Denver.

not too much different. those 2, plus the hornets, are the good matchups for us. the thing with denver though, is that we at least will have to play 2 games in the mile-high city, which could be a burden for anyone on our team.

Denver is always a tough place to play because of the altitude. And that affects players like Yao more than others. I'd rather have the home court advantage vs. Portland or New Orleans.

falling down to 7th would be great if we can beat denver and doesn't have to see lakers in the 2nd round. But if denver beat us in the 1st round and they happened to finally get out of the first round in carmelo era, then that would suck!

But I think the best pisition for us is to stay at the 4th seed, if we can get play against the Blazers with the homecourt advantage, we can get into the 2nd round...

I think the Jazz will work their butts off trying to climb to the 2nd place after they know our plan on retreating to the 7th.

rank 3 and play the hornets in the opening round. leave Denver to the second round and we would see our team playing in the west finals. :)

we're not going to tank any games, we'll play whoever, and win... hopefully. homecourt is very important here so we need to win out the rest of the games.

There is no way we can get out of the first round without the home court advantage. Period.

Who cares who we play...play your ass off, execute and play defense then you won't be eliminated, period.

we can still make sure we're gonna make the second round even with the home court advantage though.

Jazz didn't have home court advantage in the past two seasons but they still beat us twice regardless.

Definately not the Nuggets, Billups would school Brooks and Lowry, sure we can stop Melo sometime, but JR Smith is gay with his 3 point shots...

Woudnlt it be better to beat the Blazers today, get the 4th spot , and either get the Hornets or Blazers with homecourt advantage in a 4th-5th matchup? Only problem with that is that we get Lakers 2nd round..

Nuggets actually are not as aweful as they appear to be. Even if we give up our two positions to Billups and Melo, we still will have advantages over them at the other 3 spots. Yao/Scola are definitely take steady control of the paint and badly embarrass Nene who had his a surgery on his balls, Martin will keep a piece of pants for the Nuggets though. Ron is gonna take good care of JR, our bench also deeper than theirs. Nuggets are the least competitive team in the top 4 IMHO.

If the Rockets can't beat the best, then die like the rest.

    That's my motto. Screw positioning.

Right now, I'd be afraid of Denver. They are pretty tough at home and they have Billups who would post up on Brooks all series long.

But for me, their best weapon is JR and his 5+ threes every single game.
