I agree. However, I really do like the chicken fajitas at the ninfa's on navigation...something about them with a bunch of onions and queso.

Anywhere else, they belong on a salad

Yah... love that stuff, but people that don't like it really don't like it; I've heard some say it tastes like soap to them... I don't get that at all though (obviously).

EDIT: And the smilie is because I like you. Your idea is still crap.

Jeez. I just posted it a couple weeks ago.

    Fine:

    20 oz. sour cream

1 packet of Hidden Valley Ranch Dip Mix powder

    1/4 cup cilantro leaves

    3/4 cup pickled jalapeno slices

    1 tomatillo

Take the tomatillo, jalepenos and cilantro and pulvarize in a food processor.

Make the ranch, as usual. Then mix in the other pulvarized ingredients.

I gotta agree with Fatty on this one. The thought of using pace picante sauce as a fajita marinade is just wrong.

I always just go to La Michoacana (mexican meat market) down the street and pick up some of their pre-marinated fajitas. Simple and awesome.

    Quick and easy recipe:

Couple of dashes Lawry's Seasoning salt
Lime juice (from real limes, not that lime juice in a bottle)
    Couple of dashes Garlic Powder

Cook over open grill and turn every 30-45 seconds until done. I recommend cooking medium to medium well.

    Similiar strategy for me:

    Get in airplane.
    Fly to Houston.
    Rent car, drive to Lupes.
    Eat.

Nope. Sorry, MM, but you're wrong there. Lupe and her family actually sold it; that's why they're all over the place. Check out Pico de Gallo at the corner of HWY6 and Williams Trace in Sugar Land. She opened up a new restaurant, and, dare I say it, it's better than anything ever at the old Lupe location.

There is a genetic marker that gives some people receptors in their bitter taste zone that get stimulated by some compound in the cilantro. So it makes it taste like they're eating soap.

Crazy, and I'm glad I don't have it!
