It's long past "post Survivor", so I started a new thread.

Damn you Rob! I wanted Hidalgo!

I think he's gonna have a monster season.

I was really surprised to see Hidalgo go so early. I got him off waivers last year.

He has potential for a big year, but still.. it's a little risky.

Fade, so.....I control your fate this round. Ha. Revenge. Johnson irked me. But all in all my pick won't end up influencing you if everything goes as expected....However, if Jent takes my man I may take you down a different road.

Heh heh.. I have a couple of guys in mind.

Hopefully one or more will be there when I pick.

Remember, I control your pick on the way back down. [IMG]

The Bea Arther's should be picking shortly (teaches till 2:30)

Could we possibly get everyone together tonight so we can get this moving a bit faster?

I will be on all night. At one point, I'll be taking an hour or so to lift weights, but aside from that, I'll be near a computer all throughout the evening.

I have a time issue, but if Jent makes his pick relatively soon, I'll be able to make my picks and clear the hurdle I could represent. I'll keep you posted as to when I'm leaving to see the Mexican....but I will be leaving.

Would it be possible to Quere 5 or 6 guys (there will be 4 guys taken in between your picks) and use the auto-draft while your away?

Just trying to speed things up any way possible.

I might be able to do that, but for me this is a critical time in the draft. So I'm already leaning towards saying I can't. I'm concerned about what Fade and Ren might do. Their picks could start some wild trend that I can't recover from. Such as by picking relievers. If they pick relievers and I get skipped I would be in trouble. What I may do is go see the movie, stop by afterward for an hour or so, and then call it a night. Worst case scenario is that I draft late tonight at like midnight. Of course, everything hinges on Jent. If he picks when he gets home from work then everything will run like clockwork. Let's hope. The rest of the weekend I can check in or go auto...but these next few picks I see as critical.

You could do that, but if all of those guys get picked then it reverts back to the default list. However, like I originally siad after 5-8 picks I am probably going to go full Auto, since my time is now severly limited.

I doubt Fade and Ren would do it, but if they could tell me who they want to pick then I could easily set up my 3rd round pick. My next pick is pretty much a given depending on what Jent does. It shouldn't impact Fade or Ren too much. I don't mind telling them what I'm going to do through email if they will tell what they are going do. All in secrecy of course.

Yay.. jent just picked (Chipper Jones) and Phi is on the clock.

Also, jent and Rob are in auto-mode, so if ren is around, things should speed up quite a bit.

Jason Kendall is my pick. Ren's up.

I was actually targetting Jones or Mussina with that pick, but Phi and jent made short work of that plan.

Oh well. At least with Kendall, I don't have to worry about the player shortage at Catcher.

That's the last good catcher. I'd say that was a good pick. He can run so he's pretty much a given to score points. I was thinking about picking Chipper and then waiting for Mussina to come back to me. That would have backfired big time. I owe you Jent.

Mussina is a little dangerous considering his recent luck with the Orioles, but over the long haul he's proven to be fairly consistent. Rivera should get him a few extra wins. I feel lucky to get someone projected as the 4th best pitcher in the majors. So I'm quite happy with my second round.

I was gonna ask if others were having trouble getting in. Hopefully, it will get to me before 5:40 so I can make a pick, then I will be back at 7:30 or so to continue to midnight, if need be.
