This...she blocked you so that's why you can't see her in a search...her jarhead is really jealous and well, it's all about him now...you're dead to her, until he breaks up with her and she crawls back to you... my ex g/f was like this...I had to delete anyone attractive and single on my fb...had to delete pics of me w/ chicks, etc...crazy sh#t we do for the pun...
How is it that you "can't seem to even send her a request?" You click something and you get a message? Or are you saying that you just can't see the "+ send Friend Request" button? You can hide status by individual post (on the side, click the PADLOCK for privacy) or by ALL Statuses. If you can't show your family a status update, maybe you shouldn't be posting it? I'm sayin' because I have younger nephews, too, and I just abstain from posting obscene or otherwise offensive stuff. But it's your world, and I'm just a squirrel. That picture is so fake. Everyone knows ALIENS don't shop on AMAZON.
Raising awareness is fine. I mean, I guess it is. Most people are already aware that child abuse exists and don't really need people putting cartoons on their FB pages to remind them of it. I would venture to say that 99.999% of the people who do it never do anything else to combat child abuse. They just want their FB friends to think they're doing something. That's the most important thing. Perception. Sorry to be such a cynic, it's just that I get so tired of people taking up such important causes via FB (in-between sessions of Farmville). If that's all you're willing to do, don't bother.

I think it's pretty silly too, considering there isn't really much you can do about child abuse unless you actually know a child that is being abused. It's not like a disease that you can donate money to a research fund to help find a cure, etc. I really don't see much benefit to "raising awareness" of it on facebook...hopefully most people would do something if they knew a child was being abused. But maybe I'm just ignorant, I don't know.
Plus it's all fake, like all those type of things, just urban legends doing what they do..... http://www.snopes.com/computer/internet/cartoon.asp
She blocked you. To quote the words of the immortal Fatty Fat b*stard of clutchfans BBS, you need to start a war with her. That will show her.
Who knows. Maybe she's just keeping her options open and doesn't want you to see pictures of her with her service man. Maybe she has no time. Maybe she thinks you are creepy. Maybe she closed her Facebook account. Maybe she feels hurt by you that things didn't happen. It's hard to know what's up in a woman's mind.
Would you feel so strongly against an anti child abuse TV commercial? Because that's pretty much the same thing. It's just a different form of advertising. Maybe this effort causes a few people to donate to a children's shelter who ordinarily wouldn't. If so, it's worth it. Child abuse isn't something the average person really thinks about daily, so raising awareness is a critical step towards making some sort of improvement. I really doubt that anyone considers him/herself a hero simply by posting a cartoon, as you imply. It's just a small, easy thing that individual people can do which might collectively end up benefiting society by raising awareness, which can in turn cause other good things to happen.
Yeah, i guess just get a friends FB and see if they can search and find her..if not, this is it...if he/she can, well, you're focked...
