You need to better define t-shirt fan. I have been religiously watching UT sporting events since I was 6. Almost everyone in my family attended UT. I now go to SMU, but I cheer on UT every weekend (see: I am in australia watching the game at 3:30 in the morning on a slingbox) Just because you don't graduate from a school doesn't mean you are a tool like you make it out to be.
Watching the Wiscconsin - Illinois game too? I don't know, maybe it's just a way of not allowing the defense to be prepared for a proper rush.
I didn't even apply. I went to hyper-competitive high school and there's no way I was touching top ten percent. I'm hardcore A.D.D. (no effort, very bad grades, very good SAT scores) SMU is small, good networking, Business school is top 20 in the nation and a errrr comfortable lifestyle.
While I do think Texas Tech has its best chance of beating Texas this year than it probably has had for a long long time. I wouldn't go as far as predicting us to beat them. But I am expecting us to beat A&M next week. If Tech was able to play Texas earlier in the year I wouldn't be suprised if we could beat them, but by the time our schools meet up I expect Texas to get its **** taking care of. Oh well good luck vs. OU.
I'm at SMU too. The business school is definitely more than respectable, and looking at the potential to network (number 1 in the nation) and the class size, it definitely tops Texas IMO. I will admit that the honors program at Texas exceeds that of SMU and that is what's taken into consideration when they rank UT so high. http://www.businessweek.com/pdfs/2006/0619_top50b.pdf Looking at the numbers, SMU is on par with Cornell. I have no problem with that. Also considering that I love the comfortable urban lifestyle, there's no other school in the top 50 I'd rather be attending.
As I rooted for the Aggies when I was 6. Then I grew up. Go to a college. Then you'll figure it out. College affiliation beats childhood dumbassedness.
I get so tired of this crap. I've been a fan of UT as long as I can remember. I live in Austin and try to get to games when I can. I hope my son decides to go there in about 16 years. I didn't go to school there. So f***ing what? I went to SHSU. I love my school but I've been a fan of UT for much longer. The only people that think this is a bad thing are people that went to schools like Tech...schools with inferiority complexes. Schools in towns I hope I never even have to fly over as that would be getting too close. What do you think of the people from schools playing UT who forget their own little hand sign and do the downward horns...like Tech fans, Aggie fans, and OU fans? I think it's so much more sad that schools like that base the success on their whole season on beating UT.
Well I got hammered when I said Graham Harrell was a better qb than Colt McCoy I still stand by that claim. Plus the fact that our defense can't tackle for ****. We made OSU's backup look like a heisman trophy candidate.
Did they teach any reading comprehension skills at your school? I go to school at SMU. Also, I was a much smarter child than you were.
No inferiority complex, whatsoever, unless you think that Astro fans have an inferiority complex to Yankee fans. And I guess that is my point. Why aren't you a SHSU fan? If you aren't, why did you go there? I've said before that I could have gone to UT. I didn't like the school because every pot-head I knew was at that school and I wasn't a big fan of that.
SMU a better school? Perhaps. Depends on your major. But I can't understand how anyone would want to go there for the college experience. It is basically UH-Dallas/Ft. Worth. EDIT - you're 21? Quit bothering me. You aren't old enough to know a damn thing.
perhaps? hahahahhaha. Lets see.... newsweek rankings... smu 47 in the nation... texas tech.. well the list only goes to 127. Maybe they are 128? Business school : 24 to 83. Actually I am 20. Also, I addressed everything in this thread logically and it points towards you being a cheesedick.
Must be proud of yourself, congrats it truly is a great accomplishment. Give yourself a pat on the back. For myself personally I can't go to sleep at night thinking to myself, damn if only I could of gotten into SMU or Texas so I could brag about my school's rankings. Why do I even bother going to college if I know there is always a better ranking school than mine? How do I live with myself? Whats the point in living? I think I might just go and hang myself.
Would you guys stop with this dumbassed immature argument? There's a very competitive punting contest going on in Dallas, in case you didn't know.
