Any of you guys know of a good website that compares rates for extended stay type hotels (the weekly rate types)? I'm looking for something on the cheaper end that will hold me over for a couple of weeks 'til I finalize a few things. I've seen plenty around the Houston area in the $200/week range; nothing fancy, I know, but it gets the job done.

I hope all has been well around here ;-)

try priceline.com. If you're looking for just a place to stay, it is the cheapest way to do it.

You mean a Motel 6 isn't $6 a night like it says in their name?

"And how long will you be staying, sir?"
"Indefinitely. I'm being sued for divorce."
    "Very good, sir."

Motel 6 actually has a 'Studio 6' extended stay that runs about $250.00 a week.

My folks have come down to see me from NC so I have a little experience. Intown Suites is by far the cheapest there is. BUT at Studio6 you can stay 4 in one room compared to Intown Suites which only allows 2. My bro and some friends came down a couple yrs ago, stayed 4 to a room at Studio6 at Hwy6/I10.

the other good thing about the extended stay places is they have more of a kitchenette so you save some on the groceries and eating out.

There is a Motel 6 extended stay on HWY6 and Park Row (near I-10), and an "Extended Stay" name brand other one on HWY6 near Westheimer. I am not aware of their prices, but I think they go for less than $200. If I see the prices, I will check back.

Jerry: [with glee] What is that, a Pez dispenser?!

Kramer: Want one? Yeah, I just bought it at the Flea Market.

George: Hey, what goes on there, exactly?

    Jerry: You don't know?

George: No, I-I-I know... [retreats back to his Chinese take out] I know...

Jerry: You think they have fleas there, don't you?

    George: *No*...

Jerry: Yes you do, Biff. You've never been to a Flea Market, and you

    think they have fleas there.

George: All right, I think they have fleas there. So what...
