I was taking an amusing look @ the standings and harkened back to all the preseason predictions by NBA experts about how the Clippers were on the verge of breaking through into playoff contention and how the Rox were a few players away. However, the Clips are up to there usual pathetic ways and since their front office is as competant as the product on the floor......... I figured we could exploit their inability to keep there highly drafted talent and expose their weakness for frugality.
yesyesyes another trade proposal and since I predicted the Kenny Thomas for Posey trade back in September( I didn't figure Philly would get envolved though) lets see if my luck propels me to be 2 for 2:

    Houston trades:
    Moochie "the glove" Norris
    Tito "practice MVP" Maddux
    Jason "the dayDream" Collier
    "Sleepy" Eddie Griffin

    The Clips trade:
    Elton Brand
    Marko Jaric

    ********TRADE ACCEPTED***********

While Eddie is a project and we all know that , he has upside being only 20/ a shotblocker/and can be cheaply had for at least the next 3 seasons. The Clips will eventually lose Brand/ Olowakandi/Odom /Maggette and Andre Miller. They don't want to lose all these players for nothing. They're not winning and this trade will solidify their depth @ pg, give them another 7footer and give them another first round pick. comments....

Well, yeah, sure, I'd trade Eggie and scrubs for Brand and Jaric. It's gonna take more than that, though. I'd love to dump Mooch. Throw in the Cat. I'd love to get Brand; Jaric is a 6'7" passer, steal machine. Good luck.

Why don't we trade Jason Collier for Shaq and Kobe?

Would everyone please stop trying to trade Cuttino. He is one of the few players in the league who outplays his earnings.

    :)

I would like to do the trade...the one not including Mobley.

BUT...JARIC?!?!?! Are you kidding?!? He IS TERRIBLE. He's worse than MOOCHIE!

Elton Brand...IMAGINE!!! That would be something big.

Stop these Elton Brand/Tim Duncan/K Garnet/Rasheed/etc trade threads right now. It just won't happen. Rockets already have two future MAX players. You just cann't get 3 MAX players in a team. It wouldn't be fair.

No one is worse than Moochie. Jaric will be very good after a few seasons.

Moochie Norris is one of the worst basketball players in the NBA. He's not a great passer, he's not a great shooter, he's not a great defender and he can't rebound or block shots.

He can't even shoot free throws.

He's great at dribbling in a circle for 20 seconds and handing it off to a teammate. He's also great at jumping in the air and turning the ball over.

    Actually, he can shoot.

I'm sure someone is worse. There are MANY players that are worse than him. Like Tito Maddox. And that Russian guy on the Minnesota Timberwolves who came in and took one shot and then left. He is terrible. That is not a true statement. Moochie is not that bad. I don't know what he did wrong yesterday.

With that analysis, why would the Clips want him? Strange. Also, the Clips already have Eddie Griffin, although they call him Chris Wilcox.

If they trade Brand, I promise they can get a young player AND a very high (meaning #1 - #4) first round pick.

Riet, I enjoy your posts, but this one is too much wishful thinking. Oops, my bad. I'm paying too much attention to the shuttle tragedy. You were being sarcastic about the proposed trade. Apologies.

He's shooting 40% from the field and 26.9% from the 3pt line.

He also makes stupid decisions and is one of the worst backup PG's in the league, if not the worst.

Nobody in the league would play this guy 20 minutes per game except the Rockets.

That's right. WHY WOULD THE CLIPPERS WANT HIM THEN?

I don't understand what youre saying. I didnt start this thread.

The point is no one would want Moochie and certainly not stupid enough to trade Brand for any of the players mentioned.

    Moochie - 4.8 ppg, 2 rpg, 2.6 apg, .82 spg.
    FIELD GOAL % - .403

J.R. Bremer of the Boston Celtics who scored 23 on the Rockets -
    5.0 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 2.0 apg, .64 spg.
    FIELD GOAL % - .338

    Who's worse?

Jason Terry isn't much better at shooting either.

    Moochie Norris
    PPG 4.8
    RPG 2.0
    APG 2.6
    SPG .82
    BPG .04
    FG% .403
    FT% .700
    3P% .269
    MPG 18.6

Jay Williams - #2 Draft Pick that the Houston Rockets fortunately did not draft.
    PPG 9.4
    RPG 3.0
    APG 5.3
    SPG 1.41
    BPG .21
    FG% .374
    FT% .558
    3P% .270
    MPG 29.3

Jay Williams' stats are a TAD BIT better. But he plays 10 minutes more than Moochie. And look at his shooting percentages. :)

Ok, youve got to be kidding me.

JR Bremer is an undrafted 22 year old rookie who's shown a lot of potential. Moochie Norris is a 29 year old NBA veteran who has 0 talent.

Comparing Moochie Norris to Jason Terry is ludicrous.
The reason Jason Terry doesn't shoot a high pct is because people actually guard him.

Moochie Norris makes 40% of his shots when he's wide open. Nobody guards this guy and he still can't shoot.

Beyond that Jason Terry is a borderline allstar who is better in every facet of the game.

Jay Williams? You're comparing Moochie Norris to jay Williams and Jason Terry. Good lord.

    THE MOOCH
    PPG 4.8
    RPG 2.0
    APG 2.6
    SPG .82
    BPG .04
    FG% .403
    FT% .700
    3P% .269
    MPG 18.6

Junior Harrington of the Denver Nuggets who is 2 inches and 5 pounds bigger than Moochie!
    PPG 4.7
    RPG 2.8
    APG 3.3
    SPG .84
    BPG .22
    FG% .355
    FT% .500
    3P% .400
    MPG 24.3

Junior Harrington has small height advantages and is just a little bit bigger which means more blocked shots and steals. BUT LOOK AT HIS SHOOTING!!! Lord...worse than Moochie! :( He plays half a quarter more than Moochie too.

With the Clippers losing all that talent to free agency this summer they are going to be struggling to fill out a 12 man roster. My entire point with this thread is Brand ain't coming back, there is going to be a fire sale before the trading deadline and starting Griffin @ the 5 and Wilcox @ the 4 is a better decision for the Clipps then having ZhiZhi Wang in their starting rotation next year. We might as well get our bids in and see if it sticks.

Fine. Look at Chucky Atkins. He came out of Florida the same year as Moochie. 1996.

    His stats are wonderful!

    PPG 7.6
    RPG 1.6
    APG 3.1
    SPG .42
    BPG .09
    FG% .360
    FT% .775
    3P% .354
    MPG 23.2

    Isn't that age discrimination?

"Moochie Norris is one of the worst basketball players in the NBA."

Age and experience doesn't matter. He is better than many players in the NBA. He is not great, but he is NOT THE WORST.
