The Baseball Sim will feature expansion teams, for two reasons: 1. The AL West sucks with its 4 teams. and 2. I think it would be interesting. Puedlfor will field the New Orleans Bayou Crawdads. BGM will take a new Honolulu team, tentatively named the Tiger Sharks. Information: I need a protection list of 15 players. All other people with more than 300 at-bats or pitchers with 20 appearances in one year in MLB are eligible for the draft. No team will lose more than 2 players. After the first player is picked, you can protect 3 more. So most people will lose their 16th and 20th best players. The expansion draft shall take place before free agency. But the players will not "officially" be placed on the expansion teams until after free agency for gameplay reasons. Hint: This might be your chance to dump a bad contract. Everybody correct/flame me if I am wrong, but since Rolando HAS appeared in 20 or more games in a season at least once (now that I'm looking - in 1998, 2000, 2002), doesn't he need to be protected regardless of how many games he played last season? Don't want dean to lose Rolando. =)
Rolando can't be taken, he's only a 19 game pitcher at best, and we don't want to hurt the expansion teams.
