Whats your problem with me being a Rockets fan? Of course I started watching Rockets games because of Yao Ming, I'll readily admit that. But I'm a basketball fan, first and foremost, and I like the Rockets because I got exposed to them on a nightly basis. Please don't try to act all high and mighty just because you lived in Houston and has been a Rockets fan all your life, since they are your area team. Everyone who watches ROckets games now is a bandwagoner? With the kind of attitude that you give to us, why the hell would we wanna stick around? If Yao Ming leaves the Rockets and the Knicks start being good again, and I stop posting in the forums, then you can open up your trap about me being a bandwagoner, until then, maybe you should keep a lid on it before you get forced to kiss some ass also. The Knicks play a horrible brand of basketball, why the heck should I waste my money on a Knick jersey or go spend 50 bux to sit in the nosebleeds, what for? Loyalty? B.S. You think the Knick bosses give a damn about the average Knick fan? All they care about is patching things up every once in a while, because they just want our money. They raise prices every year despite having a lackluster team, and do you know how they pay for that 100 million dollar contract to Allan Houston? They raise the cable bill prices. They don't deserve my loyalty. Your attitude sucks too, you sound like you wanna keep ClutchCity "purified" and reserved only for those who have been Rockets fans since Hakeem was still Akeem, well I'm sorry, but I can't be one of those people. Forgive me if I enjoy watching Rockets basketball games, but the according to you, I only do it because Yao Ming is on the team right? Never mind that I've played the game my entire life, or that I watch old games on ESPN Classic, it's because I'm a Yao Ming groupie, yeah, does that make you feel better about yourself? Maybe ClutchCity should put your names in gold letters to sperate you from the rest of us lowly bandwagon jumping, Yao Ming loving, know nothing about basketball groupies.

Easy answer to that: I've been a Rocks fan since before Hakeem was ever on the club (I date back to the Moses Malone years), and there is always room for another fan.

Don't sweat the small stuff; have fun; purity is overrated ;).

    Welcome aboard.

you are overthinking this. some people love to laugh at fans of New York sports, especially when they bail on their sorry ass teams. I think almost all cities enjoy that.

Quentin Richardson!? No thank you. Mobley isn't anything like Starks, Starks is a gun that will throw up 30 shots to get 17 points. He was a good player, very good, but he would shoot the Knicks out of games if he was cold. Mobley doesn't shoot the Rockets out of games. Mobley also fits this team perfectly, against the Kings? 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assist and 3 steals. And he is a capable spot up shooter. What has Quentin Richardson and Doolings done to make the Rockets trade away one of their key players!?

heypartner, sory if it sounded like I overreacted, I just didn't like the fact that you inferred I was a Rockets fan simply because Yao Ming's on it and that I'm bailing on my team. Look I'm a New Yorker, but I love watching GOOD basketball, and right now the Rockets, with or without Yao Ming, have a very fun club to watch, especially since Franchise, not Yao Ming, has become my favorite player next to Allen Iverson. If Yao Ming had gone to the Warriors, I wouldn't have been exposed to the Rockets, that much is true, but I don't think I would have become a Warriors fan, their brnad of basketball sucks, I've watched a few of their games because I am a huge Duke fan since they were always on TV when I was a kid LoL and I wanted to watch Mike Dunleavy's development because I thought he would have a greater impact than Yao this season. Unfortunately, that team is badly coached, and it has no cohesion at all, plus the guys don't really seem to like each other. It's different in Houston, true Yao Ming is htere, but I'm more impressed with the Rockets organization, and with Stevie Franchise than anything else.

I just thought that Mobley reminded me too much of Starks, my personal opinion of Starls and his kind of mindset (not skill, Mobley is way more talented) just totally turns me off. I hate players who jack up any shot they want, and watching Mobley play so far on an extended viewing basis has made me instantly think of Starks. I just thought that someone who was more likely to play in the system would be a better fit, long term. I mean, Jordan, for all his talent, didn't win a lick until he played with the Triangle, and not outside of it.

Agreed they are pathetic but they'll still be stuck with Sprewell and Allan Houston. It would be great for the Knicks to get Lebron James. I for one am ready to get back to a rivalry with them. Right now they aren't hardly worth hating. I'm curious as to what position Lebron James will play in the NBA though. It's reported he is 6'8 240 lbs which is big enough to play power forward in the east honestly, but they say he has the athleticism of a Kobe/McGrady type and the ballhandling/passing of Magic? I guess he could be played at any place from 1-4 in the east but I'm thinking he's most likely to play shooting guard or small forward?

If he plays shooting guard or small forward that would be some tragic irony for the knicks since all they have decent right now is shooting guards and small forwards. (I think McDyess is done)

Now, if by chance they do get Lebron and McDyess does return healthy, that could be interesting.
