That's where I am. I am disappointed in that he is in the movie, though I understand why he would do it. I just can't bring myself to go see this film.
cos its a paycheck movie. Carell and freeman just had to show up and collect their paychecks. seriously, all the sh*t movies we've been getting the past couple of years with a-list actors stooping to act in them, all paycheck movies.
I thought the movie was okay. It was funny at times and had a decent story. I expected it to funnier than this, though. It was a silly movie and good for the entire family to see.
HAHA wow... thats exactly what i did yesterday- altho i did 'pay' for evan. the other was knocked up, which was amazingly hilarious. Evan was a disguised kiddy movie. Bruce almighty wasnt a kid movie, but this is. i mean it has its moments for parents, but mainly for kids. id recommend teens/ 20's to stay away. it has moments of great carell, but its not vintage steve. it was okay, but not worth spending money on. it had a message too. i mean overall, id put it in the lower middle class of movie from this summer. it wasnt worth 235 mil.
Exactly. Freeman has been in a ton of bad movies for paychecks. Carell was in some as minor roles before he made it. This is his first starring paycheck movie.
They were both in the first Bruce Almighty movie and it made a ton of cash and was a box office hit. Why wouldn't they be in the second?
Can someone give me a spoiler? It is supposed to be a second flood, in the Judeo-Christian vein, right? Do they bother addressing the Biblical promise of never destroying the world with a flood again?
Spoiler There isn't a world destroying flood, a damn breaks and floods the area where they live and part of Washington DC, movie has a enviromentalist slant Movie was eh, overall the first half was much better than the second half. Lauren Graham wasn't given anything to do other than smile and look confused from time to time. Weak script, effects were not mind blowing esp. considering how much this movie cost to make.
