V-Span is such an enigma because we don't really get a lot of info. CD thought he'd be here to play in the summer league. Then we hear he's "banged up" and has a lot of offers, and then he signed a $3 mil. contract. If he's a back-up at 1.5 mil. a year in his own country I'm even more confused. I have felt starved for a pg since Lucas went kabloowie, and really wonder what a true pg might do for Yao. Spannoulis may be nothing, but he's had reviews that stretch well beyond what we heard when we took Nachbar at 15 and plays the position that is glaringly weak on our team. I do think many here gloss over the fact that our guards last year were terrible post-entry passers. DA I think will be a huge improvement there, but if we're really going to really contend we have to have someone that gets the ball to T-Mac and Yao without either having to touch the ball first.
