Down from 1.60 to 1.48 in a month - wonder if this will touch off reverse flood of players fleeing to the US given that Josh Childress just lost a not-insubstantial sum of his net worth.

That $2 million he just lost would have purchased a lot of hair picks.

Mistake me if I'm wrong...but isn't he still making more than he would have been in America...the dollar is still much lower...and the Euro and USD fluctuate all the time...

Yes but we should only pay attention when they're at a historic divergence and then pretend like it will stay that way forever!

I always wondered why the Euro was so strong when combined they have more debt than we do.

I understood the English pound doing so well, but never could understand the Euro.

Maybe Childress specified that he'd be paid in dollars at the currency exchange rate at the time of the signing of the contract.

At least that's what I'd do if I were him.

It doesn't matter until he repatriates his money.

I think it's the time where Europe is going to feel some of the pain from the economic slow down. It happend to economies all over the world it seems, except places like Saudi Arabia for given reasons....

The US felt the slowdown already, and the economy and Dollar value seems to be on the rise. The Euro is starting to feel the pinch.

They've had much higher interest rates than the US for a while.
