anyone has the link? i heard parsons is at 11. http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/stor...ookies-120321&_slug_=nba-rookie-watch-redraft
Morey really hit a grand slam. Just wish we had taken Kawhi instead of Morris, I was jumping up and down when he was there for us to take. Even Faried for that matter.
A grand slam? Our first pick in the draft can't even crack the rotation. How does that qualify as a grand slam?
Our first pick can't crack the rotation mainly because 2nd round pick is a poor man's Scottie Pippen.
So I guess I can't get mad at us passing on a SF of the future at #14 when we got a SF of the future in the 2nd round? Does Parsons have more upside than Leonard?
Most will not agree with me, but yes I believe Parsons has more upside. He has better basketball instincts and is a better passer, man defender, ball handler and I believe will become a decent shooter. Leonard reminds me of a slightly longer Stacy Augmon.
Just rewrite your memory as we drafted Parsons at 14 and Mook at 38. Poor man's Pippen for #14 and a potential all-star (who can deny this) for #38, not bad at all.
Last time I checked Bud and even TWill both were able to get playing time this year. Morris has the skill set to play next to Parsons on the court....but he hasn't shown anything when he has played. Parsons isn't the one keeping Morris off the court.
I'm curious what Parsons upside really is. He seems to be showing more with each game and his ability to pass and handle the ball is pretty surprising. His main problem is his shooting and it mostly seems like it is in his head. When he has confidence he hits shots....when he doesn't he misses them badly. On top of that his defense seems to be improving each game. I was pretty blown away when I saw these numbers. I posted them in another thread and I'll repost them here along with Kawhi's numbers.
