It's coming out tommorow and I've always enjoyed Sega's 2K franchise more than Madden and this year it's only $20 so all you Madden hardcore fans (MOFs ) should give it a try if you already haven't I might pick it up this upcoming weekend and see how it is, I don't know how I'll manage to play both NCAA Football as well as ESPN here is a recent review: XBOX: http://xbox.ign.com/articles/530/530939p1.html PS2: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/530/530961p1.html
The series was better than Madden when it was still on the dreamcast, but the last two Madden's have destroyed it. The only advantage ESPN Football had last year was running up the middle and the week to week gameplans.
I want to buy this game... but with NCAA 2005 consuming my life, I fear I will never play it. It's too early for the NFL games to be coming out.
Does anyone know how the league play works? maybe we can start one and play with other clutchfan members
Coming out tomorrow? Man...I haven't played that many football games in the past...just the 2k1 a while back. But the 20 dollar tag just makes me want to get it.
u sure its coming out tomorrow in houston b/c i called most of the gamestop/eb games stores and they told me its going to be around lunchtime when they receive the game btw i traded sega/jet grind radio combo and nfl fever 2003 for espn nfl 2k5 for free
I have a DC and like 10 games. I should start trading them in for anything before price gets even lower.
Isn't this a self-answering question? Q: where is espn coming out A: in stores today Anyway, H-Town, sorry about that... I just had to tease you for answering yourself... I am assuming since you can enter a few lines of text into a text box in the CF.net bbs, you are well-equipped and able to enter search items into walmart.com or bestbuy.com or even do a comparison of prices in www.mysimon.com for the game you're searching.
EBgames.com now lists two more sports sims as budget-priced; Visual Concepts has no official comment--yet. Once again, it appears an online retailer may have pre-empted a major announcement from a publisher. Earlier today, EBgames.com began listing both the Xbox and PlayStation 2 versions of ESPN NHL 2K5 and ESPN NBA 2K5 for $19.99. The new price point is the same as ESPN NFL 2K5, whose discounting sent waves through the industry when it was announced last month. However, the new price point is not official--yet. When contacted by GameSpot, representatives of Visual Concepts, the Sega-owned developer of all ESPN titles, would neither confirm nor deny the price point, but promised there "will be an announcement soon." Last month, nearly identical wording was used to respond to inquiries about EBgames' pre-emptive listing of ESPN NFL 2K5 for $19.99. However, NFL 2K5's discounting was corroborated by product pages from the online store of EB's rival, Gamestop. As of this afternoon, Gamestop was still listing NBA 2K5 and NHL 2K5 for the standard $49.99. If true, the re-pricing of NBA 2K5 and NHL 2K5 would mark another bold joint move by ESPN co-publishers Sega and Take-Two Interactive, which executives outlined in a recent GameSpot Q&A. However, since the two titles are not nearly as complete as NFL 2K5 was when its cost fell, some industry-watchers are concerned the price reduction could mean fewer resources will be devoted to their development. GameSpot will have more on this developing story as details become available.
I have to admit...I have always bought Madden over the 2K series, but how can you not at least try it for $20? NCAA rocks this year, but is anyone else experiencing slowdown during running plays? Just wondering... UH went 11-1 this season and went to the Rose Bowl....where they upset #3 USC. You'd think that would aid me in my recruiting...but no.
Oh yeah...EB will have the game in the morning. Usually the one in Pearland has their deliveries by about 10:30 or so. Not that I'm obsessive or anything...
