Didnt see this posted so.... http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/dailydime?page=dailydime-070209 "Rockets: The NBA's most overlooked team has thrived with Yao sidelined, as T-Mac's back and JVG's D have made them the West's best dark horse. Grade: A-minus " aint that the truth...comments?
I am glad we aren't getting any exposure. I hope we make a move for a back up pg or a big. If we solidify those spots we can make a deep push when yao returns. Good find
If we somehow got Sam Cassell, I would cry. I would honestly cry. Then, I'd slap myself to make sure I wasn't sleeping. But I very much agree, especially in the PG area. Though we could use someone at the 4 (let's face it: Hayes, though a great defensive player, won't be able to contribute as much offensively with Yao in the paint. He needs to develop a jump shot), I really think we should go after a PG. Remember what happens when Rafer goes out...
I wish we got a top 10 draft pick.............. Nothing too high not for Durant or Oden. I was thinking more Noah. His a force in the paint in terms of defence, perfect to put in the paint with Yao
With the Grizzlies making the playoffs last youd think we could have pulled a 1st rounder from em last year in the Battier trade. I guess it would have been top 10 protected though. But still...
I guess its stupid to think oh yeh maybe we can get some trade value for Bonzi and get a contributor as well as a draft pick........but the idea of someone like Noah patrolling the paint Tyson Chandler style at PF really makes me think about how scary our already tight Defence is. I mean Oden and Durant will be taken fought over traded for basically out of our reach. If someone of decent impact could fall to our laps? I mean look at David Lee...........I would bring him in at PF in an instant
he's the knicks best player. they won't give him up for anything right now. let alone give him away for a TE.
Billy could be the new Sam. He just need time to progress. I think 30 games are enough for him to be ready for playoff because he has international professional game experiences.
....Or Billy can be the present Billy, sitting in the bench paying his dues just like any rookie in a JVG team...
Hey say whatever you will about JVG's system, but it is working now, and I don't think VSpan has proven anything to deserve playing time. I mean honestly he is play JLIII and even Novak LOTS more than VSpan. VSpan isnt exactly a rookie and JVG knows that, I'm pretty sure VSpan isn't doing what is necessary or needed in order to get more playing time. We have Rafer, JLIII as our primary 2 pgs, definately VSpan isnt doing what he needs to do, this is one of the easiest rotations to crack as a pg (seeing as we aren't that good) and VSpan cant even get garbage minutes, that says something.
I hate that some people still b**** about JVG when he's actually winning games. Winning is supposed to shut people up. But for some reason people still whine about one slight move that they would do differently if they were coach. Yea, like they would be able to pull what JVG has done this season.
I see a lot of potential in span, but I see even more negative aspects to his game that can NEVER be corrected...can we please stop talking about him..
The Rockets are 31-17 and achieved that record with major injuries but the fact the JVG won't play a raw, TO-prone egotistical rookie is still peoples' focus.
But, if we stopped b****ing, you'd say, "Where are all those people who were b****ing about JVG? What do y'all have to say now?" We'd hate to give you the satisfaction, so the b****ing must continue.
