Wasn't the injury Piatkowski's 1st serious ankle sprain? Anyone that plays basketball knows the 1st time is the most painful and takes the longest to recover from, not to mention getting it back to NBA condition. Even after you can run on it, it feels different and you feels tweaks and twinges of pain. It's easy to re-sprain and compensate on the other ankle for... basically you must learn to live with it. He'll adjust. Which reminds me... Bruce Bowen taking out Vince Carter... that was so blatant he should be fined and suspended. Again, if you have played basketball at any level, that should have pissed you off.
well he hasn't had much opportunity to do so. 3 playoff games played 16 total points in the playoffs 36.4% from the field in the playoffs (40% on threes)
Have you seen the game tape? Let's put you in the same situation. You take a three-point jump shot, basically jumping straight up and down. In the meantime, your defender does not jump with you to try and block the shot, but instead moves his foot under you. You come down on his foot, and your ankle hits the floor before your foot. Would you be pissed? I would expect to come down on people's feet in the paint sometimes, but not out on the perimeter. Oh, and by the way, Bruce Bowen is known for playing dirty.
That's my understanding. I was really pumped about getting him, as the guy is money from downtown and, from what I've read, more athletic then he gets credit for. I think he's just slow coming off his injury and getting his legs under him. JJ has been playing very serious minutes and could use a sub like Pike if he were healthy. I guess we'll find out during the remainder of the season. And he has AGriff as competition as well, now that he's back. Pretty tough for Piatkowski.
I lost all respect I have for that man. Didn't know he was a dirty player till I saw that. Who's worse, Malone or Bowen?
piatkowski is shooting 36% from 3pt distance which is below average for him but decent for others. So i dunno if he has really lost his shot or just isnt able to get into a rythem with the inconsistent playing time
