They both are pretty bad right now. One dimensional slashers aren't that hard to defend. 1)Try to keep guys between them and the basket. 2) Don't foul them when they put up the inevitable off balance wild shot. 3) Profit
Guess who, Jeremy or James, is shooting the three ball better in the month of January. The answer will surprise you. It did for me.
Seriously, what's the difference between his 80% 3-pt shot in the summer and his 28% shot now? Maybe what he did in the summer wasn't good enough to replicate in an NBA game. Was his release too slow? Too easily blocked?
Why is he shooting a shot hes not good at, same goes for Patrick PaTterson spurting out to the 3 point line, know your game, if you cant shoot why not go to the whole aggressively. Doesn't he see Rondo driving and kicking all the time, well there's a reason Mr. Lin, its because he can't shoot umm kinda like you...
If you can't do something well become a specialist in what you can do, beats jacking up shots and praying it goes in all the time. At least you would have a better chance of getting a foul just going strong to the hole sheesh... They can't give Harden a call every time he goes to the hole so someone else has to draw fouls too, refs are tired of catering to Harden so the team should get aggressive and help the guy out by just attacking then they won't be able to look at harden like man I just gave this guy 6 fouls this quarter let me give the other team a shot in this game...
That thing that frustrates me is that at the age of 24 now he's like I need a new jumpshot. Dafuq have you been doing the last 23 years? Shooting don't need athleticism. Shooting don't need basketball IQ. You just practise one simple motion. Then repeat. fml.
Maybe... the defender knows this too? So are less... likely um to fall for it? Maybe stand a little further away from Mr. Lin?
Whats so funny about that? It's a true statement, the whole team is a work in progress and they havent played a full season yet. Stop knee-jerking and get real.
Whats that supposed to mean? The reality is that we are supposed to be rebuilding as one of the worst teams in the league, now we are ahead of schedule with promising players. So tell me, whats your reality? Contending?
I can't help but think that the current system/coaches have no clue how to use the PGs properly. Last season Lowry and Dragic tried to get out ASAP. This season I can't say Harden and Lin are used properly. The coaches keep complaining that the ball gets too sticky in Jeremy's hands. Now it's like everyone treats the ball like a hot potato and one one is able to set up a play. Does it look like in a PC game where every soldier is set up by the program without a floor general ? Then coaches shouldn't blame the players for every loss.
I think he needs to work out with an NBA player like Toney Douglas in the off season, instead of his little brother and use a real NBA shooting coach, not a girl's high school coach. No trips to Asia playing against poor competition either.
