I guess I'd like to hear someone with industry experience, but this seems highly unlikely. I assume one of the few reasons agency owners have any appeal as studio-heads is because of their former relationships with high-profile directors, producers and actors.
Amanda is going to be super pissed. She wanted that job bad, but don't know what she was thinking by getting into an argument wit Ari like that.
it did that same old TIRED plot line again - where the story takes a huge jump with a phone call/bit of news revealed in the last 10 seconds... this is getting ridiculous.
Do you guys think that Ari's mentor's books are cooked? That was bugging me the whole time that Ari was trying to get him to sell his company. I felt that was the reason he was balking at first and why he was drinking so much. I hope it's not the case, especially since it's carrying over into the next episode but of course that revelation could happen at the very last minute before the episode ends.
this is setting up perfectly for both Ari and Vince to take a hugeass fall. 1. Ari's friend will come into the agency and either rips off Ari's agency for millions or actually does a good job and pushes Ari out the door. 2. Vince gets blackballed on the set and has to choose to either man up and leave millions or take it like a b*tch and be apart of the movie, and both will realize that Ari not taking that head exec job screwed them both over. 3. 1 and 2 will happen and cause Ari and Vince to have a massive rift where each will blame one another for their recent fall from grace. At least that's what I hope would happen. I mean, I'm all for Ari and the guys but it's time that someone takes a massive hit and it should be both of them. The only way this show can keep on going is if you break down the machine that got them there and rebuild it. Of course, what I don't get is why don't Eric stop being a mute and call up Dana Gordon and have her straighten this all out because she's the head exec that's in charge of this movie. If you're going to have someone watching your back, shouldn't you actually try and exercise that option if need be? This season is taking a big step back IMO-- Eric sniffing independent success only to go back into being Vince's right hand man; Drama actually having his own successful TV show only to revert back into tagging along on his brother's things; Turtle....he'll forever be that entourage guy because his window of opportunity came and went when he lost Saigon.
I was thinking the same thing... Call up Dana and have her tell the director to stop messing with the script and her actors or he's off the project. It seems like it would be a pretty simple move on Vince's part.
E acting like a tough guy again, always has me laughing. It's going to be interesting to see how the last two episodes play out.
