What do you mean enough with the preseason excuse, it's not an excuse it's preseason! Rudy isn't running all the plays, Yao isn't used to the system, the Rockets haven't played their entire line-up all of the time because of injuries and recovering from injuries. The 76ers game was the only game in the preseason where the passing looked like garbage. Other then that the Rockets have spread the ball around well. At least let them play a regular season game before jumping on them. The preseason is just that, preseason. It's nothing but exhibition and glorified practices.

Although I am in NY at the moment I have been keeping an eye on things!
TWO ASSISTS from our LEADER and POINT GUARD will not do!!! Its no use him being the Game Leader and us loosing the game!!! The Point Guard MUST make plays for his Team Mates. The Rockets wont work if our Point Guard is only a Shooter .No NAMES no pack drill only plain Fundamentals. I EXPECT 10 assists a game and he can do it, he only needs to put his mind in the right direction!!

10 assists is ludicrous. If only one guy got 10 or more last year, why should that be something that Francis can do? And I will continue with what I've been saying, Francis had like 9 or 10 assists in his first preseason game, how come there weren't tons of threads started to praise that like there have been so many to complain about the last game? I thought you guys knew more about basketball than that. One bad game, even though he scored 28 pts, pulled down 7 boards, and had 6 steals and you guys are crapping all over him. The one thing that I'll never understand or like about this bbs is that there are some fanatics in here who are quick to put down the team and it's players based on one game. I guess I should expect that from you Yetti, being that you are in NYC and we all know how fickle the fans are over there. Reminds me of that crazy guy from NYC who calls one of the late night sports radio shows and complains about every little thing that's wrong with the Yankees, even when they are winning. This guy expects every player on the Yankees to hit tons of homeruns and all of the pitchers to win 20 games. I think his name is Gerard or something. Anyways, his voice will haunt me forever, the way he screams into the phone to b**** about Rondell White with that horrible NYC accent on top of his annoying voice. Guys like that piss me off because they think it's so easy for players to accomplish the stats that they want them to. If guys like that know so much, why aren't they involved in pro sports?

I started a thread about the iq of Francis and Mobley and I'm like evereyone else that the preseason is being used as an excuse again. This is not a veteran team who has been to the platoffs and most of this season should be used for other player. This preseason should have been used to sharpen and get acclimated to a new system. If the team looks bad , but the offense is being run, thats one thing, but when you look bad and don't run the offense, that another. The past 2 games have been terrible to watch as far as the offensive standppoint. I do like the way the defense is looking and it will keep us in a lot of games. I don't care what is said about this or that , but 9 asst in pathetic.

I agree totally. Let's try the triangle. Hell the whole league should be mandated to use it. It requires 10 men moving all of the time. But Rudy would have to start coaching if the triangle was implemented. He would get dizzy with all the movement. He might have to 'earl' on the sidelines. Too many drinks. Rox will lose many games at the end. Rudy can't draw anything up. The Sixers loss was silly. The pass was going away from the basket. No picks, no rolls and not one player flashing to the ball. High school kids know to flash to the ball!

Its frustrating. Personally I dont think Steve Francis will change. We may squeak in to the playoffs by winning a lot of close games with that crap Steve pulled the last two nights but if he would sacrifice his ego and move the ball consistently this team could be the best of the west. I like the idea of having a 7'6 guy in Ming being the focal point of the offense. He's has a 6 inch height advantage over our opponents tallest player and a stroke that Larry Bird would be proud of. Plus he seems to have the physical and mental capabilities to be our best passer. I'd like it to happen but I dont think Francis would accept it. Instead there will be plenty of tunovers, missed fastbreak opportunities, and plenty of one on one play by the guards. This is the negative attitude I've developed after watching the last two games. Some say it just preseason, but sorry, been there, heard that sad song before. You practice like you will play. It all boils down to this. You can take a player out of Rucker Park but you can't take the Rucker Park attitude out of the player.
