A friend of ours has a business and she needs a chef that speaks Korean. They know someone that is visiting at church and now that person is thinking of staying in the US permanently. The business owner heard from a customer that she may be able to sponsor them based on her restaurant's gross sales and not her personal income. She wanted to know the amount in sales that is needed before she goes to a lawyer because if the restaurant is not making enough to meet the requirement there is no point in using that option / visiting an immigration lawyer.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Tony Soprano was able to get Furio a visa at Arties restaurant. I'm sure your friend won't have any trouble.

I think it's over $20,000 in profit, not gross sales. Definitely hire a Immigration Lawyer who specializes in this type of deal. There's a lot of work and the owner of the business will have to pay a lot of money to get this to work. Most businesses I know only do this as a means to help get their relatives over from over seas.
