how can a TV show have more than one "lead actor"? (Friends)

doesn't that defy the definition of a "lead actor?" and how come ross got stuck out in the nominations?

i haven't gotten into Six Feet Under... i'm still waiting for the return of the Sopranos baby! Sept 15!!! :)

What do you think of Michael Hall's portrayal of a gay man? I think he does an outstanding job, especially considering he is not gay in real life (I hope that doesn't come out sounding bad). I thought he was actually better the first season as a lot of his angst about being gay seemed to surface. He should have won an emmy last year. The second season he seemed to have come to grips with it and accepted it.

Six Feet Under rocks! I'm really glad they got so many nominations -- they deserve it. I think Peter Krause will get the Emmy for best actor, but I think Michael Hall deserves it more. The role of David is far more subtle and multifaceted than Nate's.

Last year SFU wasn't eligible for the Emmys cuz it started too late so actually this year it was nominated for both seasons 1 and 2. (illyana douglas and lili taylor are both nominated for guest actress on the show and douglas was in season 1 while taylor was in season 2)

I love Michael Hall's portrayal of David. I really related to his 1st season struggles. And even if he is a gay-for-pay actor he hasn't made any complaints about kissing men (like Kerr Smith on Dawson's Creek has).

Death to the academy. Do the voters even watch this show. With the turning of Willow and the musical episode, not to mention the genius of the evil nerds as the major villians, how could the show not even be nominated for a writing emmy. As always, all of the actors on the show were excellent, but especially Nicky Brendan (Xander), and Emma Caulfield (Anya). The greatness of the show is that it manages to focus on the relationships between people (and not quite people), even with all of the unbeleivable things that happen around them. It is more important to viewers what happens between Spike and Buffy, Willow and Tara, or Anya and Xander than what demon Buffy has to go slay or what evil the Scoobies are fighting. From Tara's death on the last three episode were very emotionally charged.
