Could John Kerry have possibly chosen a more environmentally unfriendly vehicle as the Chevy Suburban to use to travel to his concession speech?
They are actually the vehicle of choice for security. They are heavier and harder to force off the road (which is the #1 thing they are made to prevent, the drivers are trained to avoid being forced off the road or a to a stop until they can reach a secure location). Their engines can take the extra weight of armor more efficiently, you can have more security people travel with you if need be, ect. Discovery channel actually did a show on secure and armored vehicles a few years ago, and the benefits of larger SUVs as secure vehicles are huge.
Why is John Edwards making a campaign speech when he should be conceding? The message he is delivering obviously didn't work the first time... yet he still trots it out. Learning from mistakes is important in life...
I appreciate Kerry's tone a lot more than Edward's bitter tone thus far... What was Edward's problem? He came off looking a lot worse than Kerry.
I mean, if you think about it, it does make sense. He's been angling and positioning himself for a Presidential campaign since his Vietnam days. With Bush's victory, Kerry's lifelong dream has been killed. I'm sure he is devastated.
