If Bush has Florida and Ohio, this is pretty much over, no?

Well of course they can override each other if you want to be technical, but the reality is that there will be little to no overriding going on. Thats all I meant.

Now I can get back to concentrating on what I do best: finding and posting photos of Lindsey Lohan.

Before I leave tonight I just have to say:

If tomorrow all the things were gone I’d worked for all my life,
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife.
I’d thank my lucky stars to be living here today,
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.

From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee,
across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea,

From Ohio down to Houston and New York to Florida,
Well, there’s pride in every American heart,
and it’s time to stand and say:

I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.

Is anyone else finding joy in watching Dan Rather right now?

Figuring the New Mexico goes to Bush, Bush wins with 274 (if I did my math right).

Oh well, four more of W. It can't get any worse can it?

It really looks like no one in this thread has learned anything from the last election. There is dust to be settled.

They are still holding out hope for Ohio. Rather is going down swinging.

Kerry is close to losing Iowa

(only 17 votes behind with 86% reporting)

EDIT: Bush by 1,400 in Iowa with 87% reporting

ABC still hasn't given Bush Ohio.

CBS just said the White House is preparing their motorcade.

Congratulations (if indeed he wins) to Bush. I voted for Kerry, but couldn't really find myself to really support either. I will support, as well as criticize Bush for the next 4 years, and hope he's learned from the previous 4 years.

McCain in 08? When does early voting start?

Gawd I would love to be a fly on the wall in Michael Moore's house right now.

I don't know if it is all bad for Moore. He can always do a sequel.

Ok.. lets rub it in a little bit.

Half of this country is not in a good mood right now. The economy is shot, we are struggling to win the peace in Iraq.. and the main freakin reason people voted was about freakin "moral issues"?

I think it all comes down to the republicans being better organized. You know your strong points are white, protestant/christian voters and you hit em hard.

I'll support the president, but I just don't have the confidence that he can turn the nation around like he promises.
