    I have a potential job offer coming in the next few weeks that may transport my family and I to Edmonton. I will be an X-Pat (which is great), and this will be for one year only as they will move me back to H-town after.

    Wanted to get some input on the city itself from my fellow CFers.

    I remember it being pretty boring. Calgary is much nicer if you can swing it instead

    Went there about 9 years ago or so. (as a teenager).

    Edmonton has one of the world's biggest malls. It's pretty damn incredible.

    Great place. Winter can be hard. People are nice. You said family. Teenage son? If so, he should love it.

    large city...been there during a summer...and yes that mall is hella big...
