More importantly, what is his defense like? ------------------ "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." - Gandhi
Does he have range? I don't anything about him, but it's doesn't seem he's a three-point shooter. He didn't make any of the four he attempted last year, or the one he's taken this year. I doubt Rudy would pick up a wing player without the ability to hit the three unless he brought something special to the table. ------------------
He might not have the range but he sure is one athletic son of a b****. ------------------ "Break off the block like Maurice Green" --- Steve Francis President of the Moochie Norris fan club.
Eddie Robinson is a worse defender than Bullard. I think he's a little soft in terms of bodying people up. As far as shooting range goes, I know he like sto sit out on the baseline and drop in 15 footers, he looks pretty comfortable doing that - and he is ridiculously atheletically gifted! ------------------
And that may be an understatement... ------------------ "No Brain Grant, no trade." -- Typos are a b**** as ZRB is holding Rocket trades hostage while he seeks a brain. Conspiracy theorists say this would explain why Hakeem has yet to be traded...
That was one of the knocks on him last year-- but from what I've read from the Hornets staff this season he sounds much improved on that end. I wouldn't mind taking Robinson if the price isn't high-- for 15 minutes a game a guy with that kind of athletism, speed, and offensive ability would be pretty nice. ------------------ "We're not settling for just getting in the playoffs." 6'9 205?!?! People rag on Danforth being so skinny, but look at this guy! It's no wonder he can fly through the air like that... he's as light as a feather! However, I would still like to have him on this team as a 15 minutes/game guy as TheCat said. He could be one of those high energy players... though it takes more than athletecism to be a high energy player, and I don't know whether he has that fire in him. But a combination with Robinson + Danforth(of course Langhi will be getting more minutes) would be pretty good. A young and upcoming SF duo much like Kenny & MO. If Wizard continues lightin it up, then well our sf position would be pretty strong I'd say. ------------------ PrEsident of The Danforth Langhford FAN CLUB... He IS our future All-Star Small Forward
I think you guys are seriously underestimating this guy's talent and potential. He has the same body type as Darius Miles and I believe he closely resembles the same type of play. He will be a starting SF in this league by 2003. Hopefully, it will be for the Rockets.... ------------------
6-9, 205 lbs. Free-Agent Draftee out of Central Oklahoma '99 He led NCAA Division II in scoring at 28.0 ppg at Central Oklahoma. He scored 30+pts 9 times, 40+pts 4 times, and he scored 52 pts once in his college career. In his rookie year in Charlotte (99-00) he averaged 7.0 ppg, 2.7 rpg, and shot .549 from the field all in 16.6 minutes per game. He has only played in 29 games this season due to numerous DNP-Coach's Decision. He did make two starts for the Hornets this season when Mashburn was down with an injury. Here were his stats: Against Denver on January 7, 2001: 30 mins. 9-16 FG 5 rebounds 3 assists 2 blocks 18 pts Against Clippers on January 5, 2001: 38 mins. 10-15 FG 8 rebounds 2 assists 1 block 21 pts It really puzzles me why he doesn't play more often with the production he is able to showcase when he gets minutes. Best of all, he will be a free agent after this season and he could fill our SF role very nicely. He ought to come cheap too, but there will be more than one team interested in his services come FA time. What do you think or Robinson in a Rockets uni? ------------------ [This message has been edited by countingcrow (edited January 23, 2001).]
Yeah, Robinson's a talent and definitely should be considered this offseason. But he doesn't get much time because Mashburn has turned into a monster this year. ------------------ "ON-BEE-TAH-BULL!!", Hakeem Abdul Olajuwon, alumnus, University of Houston
