it looks like eddie robinson is going to chicago http://www.chicagosports.com/bulls/content/story/0,1984,155960,00.html ------------------
I guess he wants the $$$$. Have fun in NBA-Hell Eddie. ------------------ President of the Eddie Griffin fan club.
Only 5 million per...$500,000 more than Charlotte offered and he didn't give 'em a chance to free up space. He WANTED to be in Chi-Town. ------------------
Eddie Robinson is a good fit for a playoff contender, but on a lottery team!? As for Eddie Robinson to San Antonio, I didn't hear anything about that, but he isn't worth 5 million dollars. San Antonio is better off chasing somebody like Bowens. ------------------ "Instruments are like women: After a while, you want to make love to another." - Nicolas Godin of the musical duo Air
The Cat: i'm just poking fun, that's all btw, 5 mill is about right for eddie if you ask me. and i'm pretty sure that given the spurs situation, it put him out of the realm of possibility. as predicted, though, the spurs won't be getting webber...especially with dave resigning. VERSTRADAMUS HAS SPOKEN!!
Wait and see, wait and see... I still have a feeling Webber ends up in San Antonio. ------------------ Draftsource.net-- the premier source for draft info. Profiles, rankings, mock drafts, and more! The Mo Taylor Fan Site
Would the Spurs really want to let go of DA for Webber? I know Webber is better, but without DA, the Spurs wouldn't have any good players on the perimeter. Could the Spurs sign DA and Webber if they let Robinson walk? If so, would they still have the $ from Sean Elliot's contract to sign a SF or PG? ------------------ President of the Eddie Griffin fan club.
I'm not sure Eddie Robinson is worth 5 million. He *needs* a jump shot. I think the Bulls overpaid because they've had such badluck with that caproom in the past. Of course, if he pulls a Tmac on me, I might just have to eat my words . Wouldn't it be funny if the Spurs ended up with Robinson, Webber, and Duncan? Maybe Webber could play the 3 . ------------------ Clutchcity.net... source for all your Rockets, Astros, political, music, humor, and Gordita news.
Just goes to show you guys these days would rather increase their chances to "be the man" in a river of crap than be a role player in a bayou of beauty. (I know that is real, real bad, but hopefully you get the idea)
Actually, I think he just WANTED to be in Chi-Town because he loves watching Kobe, Iverson, Shaq and Carter.... ------------------ Who's ya daddy? [This message has been edited by SirCharlesFan (edited July 12, 2001).]
GB, He must have wanted to be in Chicago actually. Did I read correctly that he would be competing for the starting spot with Ron Artest? I thought one of the Bulls selling points was that he would definitely get to be a starter... if that's not true, I'm surprised you guys pulled it off. Congratulations-- this year the Bulls didn't totally strike out. ------------------ Draftsource.net-- the premier source for draft info. Profiles, rankings, mock drafts, and more! whoops! looks like the almighty spurs have one less sf to pick from. where are those comments about eddie robinson going to the spurs again??
Verse, Could it be that they didn't feel he was worth 5 million of their cap room they need for Webber or Robinson and DA? ------------------ Draftsource.net-- the premier source for draft info. Profiles, rankings, mock drafts, and more! The Mo Taylor Fan Site
Yes he will. And he'll probably win it. Personally I think Mercer is toast about the half of the season, and he can play that spot as well. Krause yanked the rug out from under Antonio when Robinson committed. Now the Raptors look like they'll send us Mr. Oakley as a thank you. http://chicagosports.com/bulls/content/column/0,2007,155966,00.html ------------------
Congratulations. I now predict the Bulls to win 8 games, instead of 7. ------------------ Protrolls.com! "I want to be like Olajon." -Sagana Diop has the right idea... Keep the ???? alive!
Looks like it will be more than 5 million a year. The contract looks like: 5 year 32 million dollars. 6.4 million a year ------------------ Question about a Tree? Go to the 5th Ward and tell Daryle I sent you.
Thats the average...it runs like this: 1) 5.25 2) 5.78 3) 6.35 4) 6.99 5) 7.69 ======= $32.06 Now we're after a veteren PG...someone who can show JC the ropes, but isn't so good that JC will feel motivated to push against them to get the starting role back. Looks like it might be Anthony from Portland... ------------------
Cat- Why would the Spurs sign Webber? Are they going to start him at SF w/ DRob and Tim or put Tim at C and have DRob come off the bench? And they still have to resign DA. How would this team fit together? ------------------
