Only 5 million per...$500,000 more than Charlotte offered and he didn't give 'em a chance to free up space.

He WANTED to be in Chi-Town.

Eddie Robinson is a good fit for a playoff contender, but on a lottery team!? As for Eddie Robinson to San Antonio, I didn't hear anything about that, but he isn't worth 5 million dollars. San Antonio is better off chasing somebody like Bowens.

btw, 5 mill is about right for eddie if you ask me. and i'm pretty sure that given the spurs situation, it put him out of the realm of possibility.

as predicted, though, the spurs won't be getting webber...especially with dave resigning.

Wait and see, wait and see... I still have a feeling Webber ends up in San Antonio.

Would the Spurs really want to let go of DA for Webber? I know Webber is better, but without DA, the Spurs wouldn't have any good players on the perimeter.

Could the Spurs sign DA and Webber if they let Robinson walk? If so, would they still have the $ from Sean Elliot's contract to sign a SF or PG?

I'm not sure Eddie Robinson is worth 5 million. He *needs* a jump shot. I think the Bulls overpaid because they've had such badluck with that caproom in the past. Of course, if he pulls a Tmac on me, I might just have to eat my words [IMG].

Wouldn't it be funny if the Spurs ended up with Robinson, Webber, and Duncan? Maybe Webber could play the 3 [IMG].

Just goes to show you guys these days would rather increase their chances to "be the man" in a river of crap than be a role player in a bayou of beauty. (I know that is real, real bad, but hopefully you get the idea)

Actually, I think he just WANTED to be in Chi-Town because he loves watching Kobe, Iverson, Shaq and Carter....

    GB,

He must have wanted to be in Chicago actually. Did I read correctly that he would be competing for the starting spot with Ron Artest? I thought one of the Bulls selling points was that he would definitely get to be a starter... if that's not true, I'm surprised you guys pulled it off. Congratulations-- this year the Bulls didn't totally strike out. [IMG]

    Verse,

Could it be that they didn't feel he was worth 5 million of their cap room they need for Webber or Robinson and DA? [IMG]

Yes he will. And he'll probably win it. Personally I think Mercer is toast about the half of the season, and he can play that spot as well.

Krause yanked the rug out from under Antonio when Robinson committed. Now the Raptors look like they'll send us Mr. Oakley as a thank you.

Congratulations. I now predict the Bulls to win 8 games, instead of 7.

Looks like it will be more than 5 million a year.

    The contract looks like:

    5 year 32 million dollars.

    6.4 million a year

Thats the average...it runs like this:

    1) 5.25
    2) 5.78
    3) 6.35
    4) 6.99
    5) 7.69
    =======
    $32.06

Now we're after a veteren PG...someone who can show JC the ropes, but isn't so good that JC will feel motivated to push against them to get the starting role back. Looks like it might be Anthony from Portland...

    Cat-

Why would the Spurs sign Webber? Are they going to start him at SF w/ DRob and Tim or put Tim at C and have DRob come off the bench? And they still have to resign DA. How would this team fit together?
