It seemed to me that while Eddie was in the game, he was extremely active (especially on defense) and caused some problems for the Knicks. He blocked a few shots and altered another. He almost brought the opposing crowd to its feet on his missed follow-up dunk attempt. He only forced one shot that I remember (it was either a long 2 or a 3). he brings a ton of energy to the floor. On a side note... Pippendagimp, it was good meeting you before the game. Too bad the outcome wasn't in our favor. I had to ride home on the train with my Knick fan buddy and listen to him about how "clutch" Charlie Ward is. I wanted to puke.
Wholeheartedly agree... in the 2nd quarter, EG was a defensive monster. There was a period in the 2nd where every other Knicks possession was snuffed out by Griff blocking or altering a shot... he was also grabbing rebounds and making hustle plays. The follow-up dunk would have been real nice. Actually, I look at Marcus Camby and it's clear that -- with proper training and experience -- Griff can be 5 times better than him. Camby is in his 6th season (almost 28 yrs. old) and he still has no offensive game (and no post game whatsoever). His jump shot is painful to watch. Like Camby, Griff is rangy with hops and a nose for the ball ... let's just hope he develops his o-game a little. I would say the Rockets defense overall was very intense against the Knicks... very active hands, filling passing lanes, etc.
