I hope it's true. If he's on meds and gotten things turned around with the help of Lucas (who we should have had working with him long before the "incident"), then we'd be crazy not to give him a chance. We paid dearly for the guy already.

Have you heard the rumor that her brother is a gangster, and put a contract out on him? Any truth to that?

Don't be an arse. First, I'm not coming out calling your posts BS, but you've decided to come after me. Second, if you are going to call my post BS, please provide me the courtesy of actually reading the entire post (while it may be uninteresting, it's not very long). I never said that you need verifiable evidence in order to post. I said that it provides credibility in the absence of a solid track record of 'scoop' reporting. That's all.

Just trying to help, brother. Not trying to hate. You should try it some time.

    Let it go.

Griffin was a lousy player and person.

Maybe he will fix his life, if so, great.

But the chances of him playing in the NBA again are slim, in the TC for the home team are none.

    Let it go.

Dues Eddie is so going to LA if Rudy T gets the job there. You can bet on it.

Eddie should not stay in Houston. He should get away from the b*tch and straighten his life. The only reason he plays for Rockets is if his parole situation makes it difficult to be somewhere else...

Eddie has the most potential between Mo and Kenny...not to mention taller.....I hope this is true....I'd Love to see a rejuvinated Eddie Griffin, alcohol free come back to the Rockets. it could be the missing link.....if t-mac comes into town!!

The only problem is that Eddie Griffin can't play. He couldn't before all this happened, what makes anyone think he can now? He's like Sam Perkins without the 3-point shot. What position would he play? He's too slow to play the 3, too weak, skinny, and gutless to play the 4, too small to play the 5, afraid to mix it up down low, lousy jumpshot, should I go on?

Besides blocking a few shots now and then, what can he possibly bring to the team?

He's gone. It's over. It's time to admit we made a mistake and move on.

You are seriously deluded if you actually believe this. He has made a third of his threes, which ranks up there with most of the above average (not GREAT, but above average) three point shooters in the NBA. He knows how to fill a lane (a HUGE asset once we get a PG that can run a fast break) and his offensive skills on the block were starting to come around in training camp.

Did you even watch him play in the preseason???

After the trade, the next move should be to add EG and BAD.

    I did.

He was 10-35 during preseason. He showed zero improvement over last season, or the season before that.

His 33% 3pt shooting wasn't even good enough to sniff the top 50 in 2002-2003.

oddly enough, I was just thinking yesterday about how good a fit Eddie would be with this team once this deal goes down.

Fisher, TMac, JJ, EG, Yao with Howard backing up 4/5, Nachbar backing up 2/3 and Lue or Gaines backing up point is a pretty nice squad. EG provides ability for spot up 3, solid rebounding and great shot blocking, assuming continued progression in his game. DFish and JJ provide veteran influence and ballhandling. TMac and Yao do the scoring. That team should be long, good defensively and be able to score some points. The type of role players you need.
