Well as a CT native I knew that bit of information. What does CT have to do with it? Apparently a little with EG's formative years. Marvin Powell, Eddie's brother who died of a heart attack earlier this year lived in CT. Marvin and myself we went to the University of Hartford together back in the late 80's. Marvin played div 1 basketball for UHa (Hawks) back then. Once he graduated Marvin made CT his home. At some point EG came to live with Marvin. I am not sure why that was the case but it could have been to help the kid develop his basketball's skills. It could be that they had a special relationship. Unfortunately, Marvin was not able to see him play in the NBA and I am not sure if EG's decision to go pro was made before Marvin's untimely death. You may recall that he originally choose a jersey number as respect to Marvin. However that number went to Rice when he came in.

They both are great talents who have terrible P.T.

As long as they can contribute in the little P.T. and they win, it doesn't really matter. Like Bucks, they got Cassell, Allen, Robinson, Mason, and Johnson. Tim Thomas is a HUGE threat off the bench. Griffin will get plenty of P.T. when he develops to take over KT's spot or possibly Mo T's spot. But we could be just like the Bucks. Franchise, Mobley, Rice, Mo T, and Cato. Griffin could be a HUGE threat off the bench too.

That's pretty ironic. I compared Thomas to Griffin around the draft.

They both are long players who can play the perimeter. Both from the Philly area. Both left college after their freshman year...

    They seemed to be identical.

As good as Tim may seem, I will be greatly disappointed if Eddie isn't better then him. I am expecting Garnett like greatness out of him.

um, i've already mentioned this twice.

    anyhoo...

they have very similar abilities, but eddie, IMO, is a step and a half beyond tim. if it weren't for tim's RIDICULOUS contract, i would love to have him here in houston, though @ the 3 spot.

Sorry about that, and I never thought about Tim Thomas coming here. Maybe we can get him because we took Rice's lucrative contract, why can't we take his. Thomas and Griffin would help each other become better. THink of it like this, Franchise and Cat are like brothers and know each other very well on the court and off. Thomas and Griffin could have the same relationship but they ARE related by blood. If we could do this, Franchise and Cat will be an awesome threat and Thomas and Griffin will also be an awesome threat, maybe they can all be brothers and play AWESOME together.

I just figured out that Thomas and Eddie G were both picked number 7 in the draft. What a coincidence.

Larry Brown needs his ass kicked giving away Thomas and Scott Williams for Gerald Honeycutt and Tyrone Hill? Larry must have had some of Rudy T's potion.
