For the last 15 years the eastern conference has been bad. But at least they've fielded about 5-6 competitive teams with 1-2 that are elite. This year the easy is just atrocious. Outside of Indiana and Miami who is even worth a damn? That Rudy Gay thread just made me realize that bottom feeding teams like Toronto, Charlotte, And Washington are actually in the playoff picture there. That's just pathetic. I can see teams like Philadelphia having a bright future. But is there really any hope for the mess the east is in anytime soon?
Indiana and Miami were the only teams who were good enough for the western conference playoffs last year also (Indiana was just incredibly inconsistent through the regular season).
