Not really a fanboy of any system. Just calling it how I see it. Nintendo's flagship games always control super smooth. There's no reason to believe Zelda won't be the same. Their other games in the conferences looked excellent, so I said they do. Side-scrollers that remind me of the old SNES style games? Yes, please! 3D screen with no glasses needed? Double yes please! Like Rokkit said above me, sure as hell beats the copycats that are banking on motion controls this year when they were already done 4 years ago... Regardless, I already said Halo Reach, Gears 3, and MGS: Rising looked awesome a couple posts above as well. Unfortunately, the rest of MS's conference wasn't too exciting (except for controlling menus Minority Report style).
not sure why you say that (other than the obvious answer that you love another system and somehow feel threatened by another console). They showed off their games and Zelda turning out to be a turd is almost impossible. Nintedo routinely rolls out great games when it comes to their big dogs, i.e. Mario, zelda, metroid. They have earned the benefit of the doubt. As for the graphics, like Rokkit said, are you really surprised? They make great looking games for what they have to work with.
SO let me get this straight. Nintendo blew everyone out the water with there conf and Microsoft sucked and was boring? thats a switch
Honestly, I thought the Nintendo conference was a lot better then anything MS had to offer. I don't see why wireless interference can't be a problem. If the controls are close to 1-1 as Nintendo claims, I would assume its pretty sensitive to massive amounts of wifi going on there (apple had the same problem). Not only that its an unfinished product, they're working on it till the end of this year. Yes the controls did seem a little unresponsive, but I doubt Nintendo releases anything unfinished, they have quality control *cough* RROD *cough*. Graphics weren't that bad, it is a Wii. I was more disappointed in the GoldenEye graphics, it looked exactly the same as I remembered it on the 64
So far, yup I'd have to say that's the case. Sony's conference starts in 20 min. Excited to see what they have in store!
Ok just saw the list of games coming for the 3DS, and it includes MGS3: Snake Eater! I'm not much of a handheld gamer, but I can't pass on a 3d version of one of the greatest games ever made. I wonder how much the 3DS will cost...
Kotaku didn't have any problems with the controls when they where alone with it. "Then I shot a two-minute video to show you the game in action. Good stuff. Sword controls were superb, and closer to 1:1 than I expected (note the little leans of the sword when I tilt my hand). Bowling bombs feels right." "So no complaints on controls, an almost-perfect button layout and a "decent" for graphics. I enjoyed romping through the game's demo and had the most fun at a boss. This game's probably going to be good. No surprise, it's a Zelda." Kotaku: Hands-on + Video
i need to see it before I have an opinion, but the game list is strong for a Nintendo handheld. Wanna see what Sony does now.
Sorcery on PS3 looks WAY more 1:1 than Zelda did. Count me as being surprised. YES! Fire storm....that looks like fun.
Killzone 3 looks great. 3DTV's however need to spread and become a standard or else these new 3D titles for the PS3 aren't going to mean much.
Ladies and Gentlemen... We have MvC3 gameplay video: <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Jj1_By1c39A&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Jj1_By1c39A&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

Dante looks INSANE. There is no doubt in my mind now that I'm going to have him on my team. Click on the video and browse through that channel for a few more gameplay videos.
Sony's conference was decent. Definitely 2nd best IMO. MS was a distant 3rd. Sony's could've been better, but they spent way too much time showing us their ad campaigns and about 10 different montages which got pretty boring. I'm looking forward to Killzone 3, Infamous 2, and Twisted Metal though. Sucks they didn't show anything on The Last Guardian.
Oh yea, and Portal 2. Totally forgot about Portal 2. That might have been my most anticipated game from Sony's conference, although I don't know if I'll get the 360 or PS3 version though.
That was an okay Sony presentation. I've been pretty unenthusiastic about Move, and I still am. However, Sorcery looked pretty awesome. Heroes on the Move intrigued me as well. That's three of my favorite franchises right there (Ratchet & Clank, Sly, Jak & Daxter). $100 to get the equipment is too steep for me. Maybe if there's a $60 package next fall with the equipment and a game, I'd be down with it. At least the stuff looks legitimate. Certainly it's better than the Wii Controller, and I suspect it'll be a better gaming device than the Kinect. I wasn't much into the PSP or PS2 stuff. They took away PS2 BC in most PS3 models (I have a launch model), so I'm not sure who their market is at this point. They didn't introduce a PSP2 or even any new features. It was just a new ad campaign. LAME. It was good to see Infamous 2 however briefly. I was hoping for a look at Resistance 3. They showed a lot of other franchises that I'm just not that into although Portal 2 appeals to me somewhat. I haven't played any of Newell's games, and it'll be nice to get one of his titles on my console finally. I thought the pimping of Playstation Network was lame as well. It's good, but it's not XBox level. And now you have to pay to get decent stuff. I don't play online enough to justify $50 a year, and I imagine that a year from now the free service will be worthless. I'm not that excited about 3D gameplay. They were touting the Sly collection as an example, but I played Sly 3 entirely in 3D and didn't much care for it. Maybe it'll be improved, but it really didn't add anything to the gameplay. Last year, I was psyched about the lineup of games coming out. This year, not so much. I guess if you're into Move and 3D this presentation was more your cup of tea.
