Saw this the other day. I've never played the first one so I don't know anything about this but I'm sure you'd like this. Very vague but definitely not canceled. http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/14/rumor-ubisoft-maintains-beyond-good-and-evil-2-still-in-productio/
Yeah that was the last update, but no word since. I guess if nothing is heard this E3, I'll give up hope. If you ever get the chance and have a backwards compatible PS3, check it out. It was pretty fun. If nothing else, maybe they'll release it on the PSN.
Shoot sorry that was not the update I wanted to post. This is the report from this week. http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/01/ubisoft-michel-ancel-still-with-the-company-beyond-good-and-evil/
I was thinking about playing Beyond Good and Evil, but wasn't sure about it. Could someone please give me first-hand opinion on why it is worth a play?
I thought about going to have something to do. But it'd be lame going without even owning a current gen console lol
Thanks. That gives me some hope. Franchise3- It was just a fun game. I personally got pretty involved in the world of the game. I liked the artwork and style of it. The gameplay was tight and the characters were likeable. It also had a couple of sidequests that kept you busy, but were fun. Overall it was just a solid game, really enjoyable.
Don't know if you heard the rumors (and thus, created this post), but there is some talk that Bethesda might announce TES 5 at E3. I think Famitsu mentioned that they have a surprise for E3. Though that could mean anything. Think I read it might be an MMO though...in which case...on to TES 6. Yeah, GT is weird with the list sometimes. They sometimes put games that we all pretty much know won't be there. Or might be there, but not playable or even any gameplay shown at all. I think Zelda was on it last year...maybe #1 then too. I agree more or less with what Wakko67 said. Just a nice solid game IMO. As Wakko67 mentioned, probably wouldn't be a waste of money to check it out if you have a BC PS3 (or can play GC/XBX games somehow). Probably costs $5-$10 used. Additionally, I think Steam and GOG.com have it for PC (normally for $10, but GOG has it for $7.50 right now). 7 year old game, so probably doesn't require too crazy of a PC to play. Anyway, Sony continues to reveal pretty much everything before E3. Too lazy to hunt down links, but Infamous 2 and MotorStorm 3 are the most recent ones. Already showed Killzone 3, God of War: Ghost of Sparta, LittleBigPlanet 2, etc. Maybe their E3 will just be focused on the Move. Not really related to E3, but looks like some guy is trying to show Square-Enix that it isn't too hard to create HD towns (using CryEngine 2): Spoiler More pics and info here: http://game-artist.net/forums/work-...42&utm_content=textlink&utm_campaign=20100524 Yeah, no AI/gamplay/etc. and I think ran at <30 FPS on decent hardware, but still impressive and pretty to look at. Wish more games used CryEngine 2. Some screens and a CG trailer (by Square-Enix) have been released for Deus Ex 3. Cautiously optimistic at this point, though I'm sure I'll be very disappointed later. Looks good I guess. Also some details from magazine(s) I think. Can post them here if anyone's interested.
Couldnt search for the MvC3 thread but ill post the new trailer here. Just confirms 2 new players <div style="width: 480px;"><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,0,0,0" id="gtembed" width="480" height="392"> <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" /> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /> <param name="movie" value="http://www.gametrailers.com/remote_wrap.php?mid=101063"/><param name="quality" value="high" /> <embed src="http://www.gametrailers.com/remote_wrap.php?mid=101063" swLiveConnect="true" name="gtembed" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" allowFullScreen="true" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="392"></embed> </object><div style="font-size: 10px; font-family: Verdana; text-align: center; width: 480px; padding-top: 2px; padding-bottom: 2px; background-color: black; height: 32px;"><div><a style="color:#FFFFFF;" href="http://www.gametrailers.com" title="GameTrailers.com">Video Games</a> | <a style="color:#FFFFFF;" href="http://www.gametrailers.com/game/marvel-vs-capcom-3-fate-of/13062" title="Marvel vs Capcom 3: FTW">Marvel vs Capcom 3: FTW</a> | <a style="color:#FFFFFF;" href="http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-marvel-vs/101063" title="E3 2010: Exclusive New Character Teaser HD">E3 2010: Exclusive New Character Teaser HD</a></div><div style="padding-top: 3px;"><a style="color:#FFFFFF;" href="http://xbox360.gametrailers.com/" title="XBox 360">XBox 360</a> | <a style="color:#FFFFFF;" href="http://ps3.gametrailers.com/" title="PS3">Playstation 3</a> | <a style="color:#FFFFFF;" href="http://wii.gametrailers.com/" title="Wii">Nintendo Wii</a></div></div></div>
GTTV had their pre-E3 show. Lots of "exclusive" reveals and announcements. Killzone 3, GT5, Itagaki's new game (guy behind Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive), Dead Space 2, Fallout New Vegas, and more. I think they're all up at Gametrailers.com: http://www.gametrailers.com/ Also had other things in the last week or so. First video of XCOM, official reveal of MotorStorm: Apocalypse, video/previews of Deus Ex 3 (cautiously optimistic), Super Scribblenauts, SOE's The Agency still lives (now with better visuals), MGS:Rising boxart (and I think Kojima Productions has countdown...though maybe for something else), Infamous 2 reveal, Dungeon Siege 3 announced (developed by Obsidian with input from Gas Powered games, published by Square-Enix), something that is likely Patapon related about to be announced, and...probably a lot more, but I haven't really kept up with this all that much. Also, haven't really followed this too closely, but looks like Criterion's (Burnout) NFS game is called NFS: Hot Pursuit (probably shown at E3). I have no idea why Sony has basically announced/revealed all their new games right before E3. Unless they plan on PS Move demos for 90 minutes. Ugh. (unless those demos involve Kevin Butler) Also, not E3 related, but read this earlier and thought it was an interesting perspective on this generation: http://games.venturebeat.com/2010/06/09/the-state-of-the-video-game-console-war-is-remarkably-even/ Basically, everyone wins. How about video? <div style="width: 480px;"><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,0,0,0" id="gtembed" width="480" height="392"> <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" /> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /> <param name="movie" value="http://www.gametrailers.com/remote_wrap.php?mid=51224"/><param name="quality" value="high" /> <embed src="http://www.gametrailers.com/remote_wrap.php?mid=51224" swLiveConnect="true" name="gtembed" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" allowFullScreen="true" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="392"></embed> </object><div style="font-size: 10px; font-family: Verdana; text-align: center; width: 480px; padding-top: 2px; padding-bottom: 2px; background-color: black; height: 32px;"><div><a style="color:#FFFFFF;" href="http://www.gametrailers.com" title="GameTrailers.com">Video Games</a> | <a style="color:#FFFFFF;" href="http://www.gametrailers.com/game/e3-2009/11511" title="E3 2009">E3 2009</a> | <a style="color:#FFFFFF;" href="http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-09-e3-2009/51224" title="E3 09: Booth Babes">E3 09: Booth Babes</a></div><div style="padding-top: 3px;"><a style="color:#FFFFFF;" href="http://xbox360.gametrailers.com/" title="XBox 360">XBox 360</a> | <a style="color:#FFFFFF;" href="http://ps3.gametrailers.com/" title="PS3">Playstation 3</a> | <a style="color:#FFFFFF;" href="http://wii.gametrailers.com/" title="Wii">Nintendo Wii</a></div></div></div>
Possible leak of redesigned (but seemingly not much, if any, slimmer?) 360: Ad could be seen here (assuming it is still showing): http://www.console-tribe.com/news/6...ead-or-alive-5-saranno-annunciati-all-e3.html Also, seems like Kinect might be the official name for Natal. Mentioned in the ad, and recently trademarked by MS. edit: Kinect confirmed: http://www.usatoday.com/tech/gaming/2010-06-14-vidgame14_ST_N.htm Also includes some info about some games:
What is this, 1999? Kinect - Connect, seriously? I didn't think Natal was that great of a name, but it's a lot better than Kinect.
Woohoo, E3 week is here! The Kinect press conference is going on right now. Rumored price is $189! . Let's hope that it comes with a 360 at that price point... We should get more details later on tonight.
Don't bet on it. Rumors have been swirling that it was going to be pricey. $150 was floating around, but damn. If they don't include the console that's going to be a tough sell to the casual market.
Any chance the Wii will receive a price drop this year? I wouldn't mind getting one over Natal if they drop the price.
Microsoft's presser for E3 is starting in 10 mins. http://e3.gamespot.com/press-conference/microsoft-e3/?tag=live;press-conf-list;microsoft;title EDIT: That gamespot link sucks... http://e3.ign.com/2010/live/
