Well, I don't think Killzone 2 matched the image quality of that target render, but it's still one of the best looking PS3 games to date. These screens are believable to me based on the final product of Killzone 2. But yea, I hear you. Sony had misled people with that ridiculous target render they showed all those years back.
The graphics weren't all that far off when the game came out. I thought they did pretty well considering most didn't think they'd come close to that. The game I'm hoping to hear something about the most, though its a long shot, is Beyond Good & Evil 2. That would make my month.

Just saw that after my post. Pretty crappy. I never had a lot of hope that it would be done. Oh well.
I'm mainly waiting to see what Valve and id will show at E3 this year. From Valve I'm sure we'll see Portal 2, but I'm really hoping they'll say something about HL2 Episode 3. Also, id said that this year (either at E3 or QuakeCon, I can't remember) they'll show Doom 4 for the first time.
Oh right, forgot about Doom 4. Should be good. Interested to see what the engine could do. More Rage would be nice too.
From what I've read id is making Doom 4 for PC first (thank goodness). With Tech 5, they're looking to make the game run at a steady 30fps so they can push the engine with as much detail as possible. It's supposed to blow Rage out of the water, so I can't wait to see what it looks like.
