i sent in this : On final plays, why don't referees take into account the delay of time from when the ball handler touches the ball, to when the timekeeper actually starts the clock? If the timekeeper doesn't start the clock as soon as the player touches the ball on the in-bounds play, players have the ability to get off clean game winning shots that they would not have gotten off in time if the timekeeper started the clock earlier.
