I don't really see why it's any more drastic than dyslexia, which I never hear people describe as "just being lazy". Maybe dyslexics just need to study more.

A disorder doesn't have to be debilitating, directly visible, or even very common to be valid. Just because you don't experience it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

My handwriting sucks...always has. A psychologist once told me it was because my thinking was concentrated more on the content of what was being written as opposed to what it looked like.

ok, i may have this, but i didn't think it was a disability. it's probably got more to do with the fact that i have hardly written since high school. i mean 15 years out of practice, you're not exactly going to light it up with a pen.

Wow. I'm really kind of surprised at this harsh of a response, because Xero and I have discussed this before and we found out we both suffered from all the symptoms listed about it.

You're off base here MB, sorry. How about a better analogy for you... are color blind people lazy? Are dyslexic people r****ded?

I mean this probably isn't that hard to deal with, but for instance today I had to write a 6 page in class essay for History class, and they give you 75 minutes. I have to focus super hard and write the whole time, and when I write fast it does not look pretty. But If I try and take my time and write neatly, I will have maybe 2 pages written and I get an F on my exam.

If you want to call it "lazy" I guess I don't really understand that... I just think writing has a whole has evolved and we shouldn't have to spend 75 minutes in a class writing out a stupid essay by hand when most of us could type it up in less than 20 minutes. We're wasting paper and teachers and TAs have to read shoddy handwriting to figure out what is being said.

It doesn't make sense to me. My handwriting is awful, my palms get sweaty, I make countless errors, I have to take several breaks because my hands cramp up. You think I like having to deal with that? No, but I do my best and I still do reasonably well.

Maybe you should really stop and consider the facts a little bit before claiming a learning disability is just "laziness"

I have had similar problems, though it could be a number of other things. I started getting pain in my hands and it become an issue for me in high school. So much that it made my typing hurt. It's calmed down some... but I remember having trouble with English class because of this. And it's not laziness. BTW I got A's, so stfu people about laziness. I'm a professional writer at this point in my life and I have to deal with my own sloppy writing and pains that shoot through my hands when I take notes. It's not fun.

I can't believe some of you are making fun of this very serious disorder Dysgraphia. This is very true and people who have it suffer great hardship. I know first hand because I suffer from a disorder called dysejaculeta. Basically, whenever I'm hammering my dong to redtube or pornhub for an extended period if time, my arm gets really tired and I started jerking my private sideways, which, for any of you who have tried that, isn't very pleasureful at all. This has caused me a great deal of hardship, hell, I can't even take my talents to south beach* continuously for more than an hour at a time because my arm would tense up and start aching pretty badly.

To continue with what Pointforward is saying, it really pisses me off to hear people claiming this is only laziness. I don't know if you guys have heard of it but I have a serious disorder called Dysolofactaextracta. Basically, when I'm picking my nose, I start to lose all control - my hands get sweaty, my toes start to cramp up and I start citing verses from Matchbox Twenty. It's difficult to think unless it's in terms of Disney villians and my fingers make gang signs as I keep digging. Before I know what's going on, I have boogers all over my face and body.

I wish you guys would be more sensitive.

Quiet up you idiots, you're blowing our shot at getting prescription drugs for a made-up disease.

Yeah, that's what we need... a pill that cures dygraphia but causes fisheye, hotdogfingers, complete loss of control of your bowels, etc.
