The best way to shut people up, is to go out and win.

Kareem is bitter but Dwight does seem to lack heart. He doesn't sound like he wants to win badly enough.

Exactly this. Go out and get that ring... That'll shut all the haters up.

Dwight needs to understand that if he wants to be the MAN, this is gonna happen

Shaq will talk ****. Kareem will criticize. He just needs to go out and improve and as of last few years, he has not. Hope things turn around for him with us here

If not for Magic, he would only have 5. The real issue is wth cares about K's opinion, he who maintained a very private persona during his entire HOF career, all of a sudden has an outburst about Superman. Me thinks, at his age, you have to consider the possibility of the onset of senility or worst!

yeah. we only care about peoples opinions when they say great things about our players

kareem is one of the best centers that ever lived so i think it should matter a little.

It was not an outburst and Kareem was rather calm when he was asked the question, which he answered. HE did not volunteer it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion even without the HOF creds.

Kareem didn't win his 2nd championship until he was in his mid 30's. He was won his first one with Mr Triple Double for an entire season and won his other 5 with one of the top 2 players that ever stepped foot on a basketball court.

Some of the greatest players are some of the worst when it comes to judging talent. There's a reason that most of the best players are terrible GM's. On top of that, Kareem's opinion in this issue isn't even an unbiased one, he's butt-hurt that Howard didn't want to train with him yet he constantly talks about how great it is training with Olajuwon. Hurt the ego of someone like that, they hold a grudge.

It was the content and intent of what he said, not how innocuously said, me thinks, it was an outburst. Been a fan of K's entire career, yet surprised how out of character he sounded. Agree with D12, man to man talk, not for public consumption.

Yes, but he's a Laker, so he's going to give a Laker answer.
