Hi guys, My DVD player now gets an error trying to read any CD or DVD I put in.. any ideas on how to fix this? I'm hoping there's an easy fix to this.. - Josh
well - I put in the DVD and turn on the player, etc. I think it tries to read the disc for a while, but can't read it so the screen gives me "error" as the message. I've tried this with both a CD and DVD. I don't think I did anything unusual to the player before this --- probably I paused a DVD I was watching for maybe half an hour but that was it.. Is either the CD or DVD a burned one? I have a Sony DVD/CD player and it doesn't play burned CDs or DVDs.
no, it's just a regular CD. I can't even play DVDs. I opened it and it seems like the laser is not catching on to the disc.. what sucks is, I just bought this thing maybe six months ago to watch videotapes of rockets games that my dad sends from houston.. and didn't even bother to get a warranty.. oh well... I guess I'll just find a cheap one on ebay or something.. thanks, Josh
